<![CDATA[Akses media sosial telah menjadi kebutuhan bagi semua orang tak terkecuali oleh siswa. Penggunaan media sosial yang tidak tepat akan berdampak buruk bagi penggunanya. Dampak media sosial akan berpengaruh terhadap perilaku sosial sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji penanaman nilai-nilai sosial yang dilakukan orang tua dan guru serta mengetahui perilaku sosial siswa SMP Kristen Widhodho Purworejo. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kulitatif dengan sumber data informan, fenomena/peristiwa dan dokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teori. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa facebook merupakan media sosial yang dianggap penting bagi siswa, sedangkan penanaman nilai sosial dalam penggunaan media sosial tidak dilakukan oleh orang tua dan guru. Ada kecenderungan perilaku sosial siswa SMP Kristen Widhodho Purworejo dominan perilaku negatif. Perilaku negatif tersebut antara lain bullying dan berbicara kasar baik di facebook atau dunia nyata. Social media has become a necessity for almost everyone, no exception for students. The use of social media that is not in a proper way will give negative effects for the user. The impact of social media will affect their social behavior in daily life. The purposes of this research to assess the social value implementation by the parent and teacher, and to know the students social behaviour in SMP Kristen Widhodho Purworejo. The research was conducted by qualitative research design with the data source from informant, phenomena/event and document. The data collecting technique was used by observation, depth interview and documentation. The data validation technique in this research was used by sources triangulation and theory triangulation. The results of the research shows that facebook is a kind of social media that is considered important for the students, while the social values implementation in the use of social media is not done by parents and teachers. There is a tendency the social behavior at SMP Kristen Widhodo Purworejo is dominant negative behavior. Negative behavior includes physical and verbal bullying either on facebook or the real world.]]>
