Mathematical understanding ability is a basic ability that must be possessed by every student in understanding the concept of material and applying it in a mathematical symbol and formula. However, the fact is that currently the failure in learning mathematics is due to students' lack of understanding of the concepts in mathematics material. The purpose of this study was to see the improvement of mathematical understanding ability of class VIII-B students on the material of Two-Variable Linear Equation System at SMPN 1 Margaasih. The research method used is the model of Kemmis and McTaggart with the subject studied, namely students of class VIII-B SMPN 1 Margaasih. The research conducted used Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research took place over 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of several stages starting from the plan, action, observation and reflection stages. In cycle I and cycle II the teacher gave a test, besides that in each cycle an observation sheet was provided. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in the completeness of learning scenarios for teachers by 51.92% and for students by 50.01%. In addition, the results of filling out the tests given each cycle showed good results with the number of students who scored above the KKM in cycle I by 69.44% and cycle II by 80.55%, meaning an increase of 11.11%. Thus, the mathematical understanding ability of class VIII students on Two-Variable Linear Equation System material at SMPN 1 Margaasih using a scientific approach has improved.

Mathematics is very important in life. The self-confidence that students have will certainly affect the process of learning mathematics. Learning objectives measure students' self-confidence towards mathematical problem-solving abilities. The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between self-confidence and the ability to solve mathematical problems and analyze students' difficulties in solving problems on the System of Two Variable Linear Equations (SPLDV) material at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Research using quantitative methods with correlation tests. The research sample was 20 Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. The research instrument consisted of a test to measure mathematical problem solving abilities in the form of 3 essay questions, while the non-test instrument was the self-confidence consisting of 20 statement items. . The learning method used conventionally students are divided into several groups randomly. School books are given as a guide for students in learning. The results showed that there was a very strong relationship (r = 0.83) between self-confidence and the ability to solve mathematical problems. Conclusion the results of the analysis of students' difficulties were found based on the polya step, especially at the stage of proving that students were not yet able to check the correctness of the solution in the process of working on solving mathematics. It is hoped that future research will use problem solving methods to see how self-confidence increases in the ability to solve mathematical problems.

The reality on the ground shows that students still make mistakes in solving problems in the form of Linear Program stories. This study aims to describe students' mistakes in solving word problems in linear programming material. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were class X students of Karya Bahana Vocational School, Bekasi City. The instrument in this study was in the form of 5 questions in the form of descriptions. In addition to the instrument in the form of tests, interviews were used to dig deeper into students' answers to the questions presented. The results showed that the most errors made by students were in the aspect of errors in writing the final answers, and the fewest errors were in the aspects of transformation errors. The cause of reading errors is that students are unable to interpret sentences correctly and cannot find key words and important information. The cause of the error in understanding the problem was that students did not include the known data and the data asked. The causes of errors in the transformation are students not being able to model everyday sentences into mathematical symbols and errors in using mathematical operations. The cause of the process skill error was that the student was unable to write down the objective function and the student was unable to continue with the answer, while the cause of the error in writing the final solution was the inability of the student to draw conclusions correctly.

Mathematics learning at the junior high school level aften encounters difficulties, particularly in students’ understanding of plane geometry concepts. These difficulties are largely caused by abstract instructional approaches and the limited integration of technology that can support students’ conceptual visualization and problem-solving processes. This study aims to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes on plane shapes through the implementation of a programming coding-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research employed a quansi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants consisted of 32 seventh-grade students at SMP Dewi Sartika Bandung, selected through purposive sampling. The experimental group received instruction using the PBL model supported by C++ programming, while the control group was taught using conventional learning methods. Data were collected using learning achievement test, observation sheets, and documentation of learning activities. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normalized gain analysis, and an independent samples t-test to determine the effectiveness of the learning model. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental group. The average pretest score increased from 55 to 82 in the posttest, with a normalized gain score in the medium-high category. In addition, students in the experimental group demonstrated higher learning activity motivation, and problem-solving skills compared to those in the control group. It can be concluded that programming coding-assisted Problem Based Learning is effective in improving students’ understanding of plane geometry concepts and enhacing their mathematics learning outcomes. This learning approach also supports active learning and the development of 21 st-century skills.

Student worksheet (LKPD) is a teaching materials containing activities that guide students in understanding topic. However, several studies have shown that LKPD is simply practice questions and are not tailored to students' needs. This study aims to design and test the effectiveness of a student-based LKPD.discovery learning assisted by wayground in improving mathematical connection skills and learning independence of junior high school students. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model, which consists of preliminary studies, planning and drafting products, expert validation, limited trials, extensive trials and product tests. The subjects of the study were 10 students of class IXA for limited tests and 32 students of class IXB for extensive tests and the subjects of product tests were 32 students of class VIIID for the experimental class and 32 students of class VIIIE for the control class in one of the public junior high schools in Bandung Regency. The research instruments include: Mathematical Connection Test, Learning Independence Scale, LKPD Validation Scale and Learning Assessment Response Scale. The results of the study show feasibility with several criteria: Validity obtained from the results of validation by material experts is 89% and media experts 90%, both in the very valid category. Practicality of 83% obtained from the results of student responses is in the very practical category and Effectiveness is obtained from the results of the Ngain analysis 60%, is in the effective category. Thus, LKPD based on discovery learning assisted by wayground effectively improves students' mathematical connection skills and learning independence.

Mathematics learning requires students to develop not only conceptual knowledge but also mathematical problem-solving skills and positive self-concept. However, junior high school students often experience difficulties in solving contextual problems, particularly those involving the Pythagorean Theorem. This study aimed to develop a Google Sites-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance junior high school students’ mathematical problem-solving skills and self-concept in learning the Pythagorean Theorem. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Borg and Gall development model, consisting of ten stages: research and information collecting, planning, preliminary product development, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, and dissemination and implementation. The developed product integrated PBL syntax with Google Sites to provide contextual problems, digital learning resources, collaborative activities, worksheets, and assessments. Preliminary field testing involved 10 students, while the main and operational field testing involved 20 students. Data were collected through validation instruments, mathematical problem-solving tests, self-concept questionnaires, and student performance assessments. The results showed that the preliminary field trial produced an average self-concept score of 84%, categorized as high. In the revised operational trial, the experimental group obtained a mean score of 63, while the control group obtained 70.5. The effectiveness test produced a mean N-Gain score of 0.4603 or 46.03%, categorized as moderate. Thus, the developed Google Sites-assisted PBL model demonstrated sufficient effectiveness and potential as an alternative mathematics learning resource for supporting students’ learning outcomes, problem-solving skills, and positive self-concept.
