Abstract

Communication is a means of providing stimulus to the communicant in changing a person's behavior and feelings, especially in the relationship between paramedics and patients. Interpersonal communication in the world of health is known as therapeutic communication, communicating with patients is to help, assist and lighten the burden of illness suffered by the patient. This article discusses communication as a means of providing encouragement and support to patients in the healing process, as well as the principles and techniques that paramedics must use with patients. Based on data collected and analyzed entirely from literature and other documentation materials, such as writings in journals and other relevant media, this article argues that interpersonal communication can be used as therapeutic communication to patients. The essence of interpersonal relationships in therapeutic communication is warmth, sincerity, empathetic understanding and positive attention. As a communicator, you are able to show attention, through messages through soft, ethical speech to patients, so that you can help patients in the healing process

Abstract

This study discusses the editorial team's strategies to improve the quality of news coverage in the *Detak Sumbar* program on Padang TV. The main objective is to understand the strategies implemented by the editorial team and to examine editorial aspects from both the editorial and production teams. The research uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis, and data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the *Detak Sumbar* production process has implemented editorial strategies based on seven key points, including maintaining broadcast quality, scriptwriting standards, and obtaining up-to-date and informative news. Additionally, sharing program clips through various digital platforms such as STB, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and the Padang TV website is also part of the effort to enhance the quality and reach of the news coverage.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify various forms of communication that occur in the film "Adit Sopo Jarwo" episode "Be Friendly So We Are Great". Children's cartoons often convey moral messages and social skills through various modes of communication, both verbal and non-verbal. The importance of communication in the context of children's personal and social development. Through various animated characters and interesting stories. Cartoon films teach various aspects of communication, including expression, how to speak or interact well, active listening, and various ideas. This research uses a qualitative method with a semiotic approach modeled by Charles Sanders Peirce to analyze the use of signs or symbols in the film. This research is included in non-participatory research. Primary data was obtained from direct observation of the episode, while secondary data consisted of references from literature and related information sources. The analysis results show that this film depicts various forms of communication, including intrapersonal, interpersonal, verbal and non-verbal communication. For example, verbal communication when interacting uses words face to face, while non-verbal communication means nodding which means yes. Verbal and non-verbal communication is used effectively to convey emotions, ideas and moral messages about the importance of supporting friends and overcoming differences. Highlighting the importance of effective communication in the context of children's personal and social development, and how this film can play a role in educating viewers about the values ​​of friendship and solidarity.
