Abstract

News manuscripts before being published go through an editing process. This is done to minimize word error and making it easier for readers to understand. This study aims to describe the misuse of the di- prefix in Jawa Pos online news. This study is classified as a qualitative research by analyzing obtained data. The research data is in the form of words that use prefixes in news articles published by Jawa Pos Digital. Articles published from 25 February to 19 April 2023 are used as data sources. Data analysis techniques in this study uses three stages, (1) data collection, (2) data analysis, and (3) conclusion. Results from this study showed nine misuses of the di- prefix in online news articles, three misuses of the di- prefix followed by a place word and six misuses of the di- prefix followed by a noun. These misuses are classified into (1) combining the di- prefix followed by a place word and (2) seperating the di- prefix followed by a verb.

Abstract

Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education, and secondary education. Teachers must have a minimum academic qualification of bachelor (S1) or diploma (D-IV), master competence (pedagogic, professional, social, and personality), have an educator certificate, be physically and mentally healthy, and have the ability to realize national education goals. The method in this activity is training and assistance in the preparation of learning tools and media. In the early stages, participants are given explanations or lectures related to concepts and knowledge about language learning. In the next stage, participants are invited to discuss the problems they face when carrying out learning in class. In order for the activity to be directed, participants are given a worksheet during the mentoring which contains an analysis of the learning that has been done and efforts to improve it. To solve the problems faced by the target audience, namely teachers, it is carried out through community service with a participatory approach. The results obtained during the program received positive responses from the training participants (teaching staff) regarding the programs that had been implemented by the research team so far. This response is evidenced by the number of agreements from the training participants, and also the many positive responses from the participants which they filled in the questionnaire column. Abstract

ABSTRAK        Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan kalimat dan penggunaan ciri kebahasaan kalimat teks eksplanasi karangan siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Datanya berupa kalimat-kalimat dalam tiga puluh lima teks eksplanasi karangan siswa dan sumber datanya yakni teks eksplanasi karangan siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 6 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi dan catat. Kemudian, analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif yang meliputi identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan analisis deskripsi.Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori kalimat efektif Gorys Keraf yang meliputi kesatuan, kehematan, kepararelan, kelogisan, kepaduan, ketepatan, dan kevariasian. Lalu, teori penggunaan ciri kebahasaan teks eksplanasi secara umum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya (1) keefektifan dan ketidakefektifan kalimat teks eksplanasi; (2) penggunaan ciri kebahasaan kalimat teks eksplanasi. Keefektifan kalimat diperoleh seratus lima puluh enam data, ketidakefektifan kalimat diperoleh tujuh puluh kalimat, dan penggunaan ciri kebahasaan teks eksplanasi diperoleh dua ratus satu kalimat.Kata kunci: Keefektifan kalimat, penggunaan ciri kebahasaan, teks eksplanasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan bentuk kohesi dan koherensi serta mengetahui frekuensi penggunaan kohesi dan koherensi dalam teks cerita sejarah karya siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 20 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode agih. Hasil penelitian yaitu ditemukan kohesi gramatikal sebanyak 605 data, kohesi leksikal sebanyak 112 data, dan koherensi sebanyak 123 data. Kohesi gramatikal yang sering ditemukan yaitu konjungsi dan yang paling sedikit muncul yaitu elipsis. Kohesi leksikal yang banyak ditemukan merupakan repetisi dan yang sedikit muncul yaitu kolokasi. Koherensi yang banyak ditemukan yaitu hubungan aditif temporal sedangkan yang tidak ditemukan dalam teks yaitu hubungan syarat-hasil dan hubungan aditif non temporal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat dikatakan penggunaan kohesi dan koherensi dalam teks cerita sejarah karya siswa sudah memiliki kebervariasian yang merata.
