Abstract

The application of Crosby's principles in improving the quality of educational institutions is very important considering the quality of education is a major factor in creating quality human resources and able to compete in the current era of globalization. The Zero Defect concept introduced by Crosby can be applied in educational institutions to improve the quality of learning, create a safe and comfortable learning environment, and increase customer satisfaction, namely students and parents. The type of research used is library research. Literature study is a research method carried out by collecting and analyzing data or information derived from written sources such as books, journals, papers, articles, and other documents. In applying the Crosby principles, educational institutions should focus on preventing errors or defects at an early stage, by ensuring that the learning process is carried out properly and correctly. Educational institutions must also ensure that all components of education, such as teachers, curriculum, learning methods, and facilities, meet the quality standards that have been set. In addition, the role of management in leading and improving the learning process is also very important to achieve Zero Defect quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as an effort to strengthen religious literacy among adolescents in the contemporary era. Adolescents today face rapid globalization, digital transformation, and cultural shifts that influence their understanding and practice of religion. These conditions create both opportunities and challenges for PAI in nurturing balanced personal development that integrates knowledge, faith, and moral values. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, this research analyzed relevant studies published from 2018 to 2024 focusing on strategies, methods, and innovations in enhancing religious literacy among youth. The findings reveal that PAI contributes significantly to improving adolescents’ cognitive understanding of religion while also fostering ethical awareness and spiritual resilience. Innovative strategies such as contextual learning, digital-based approaches, and value-oriented pedagogy were identified as effective in strengthening religious literacy. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of these efforts depends on several factors, including teachers’ digital competencies, institutional support, and active engagement of students in meaningful learning activities. The novelty of this study lies in highlighting the importance of integrating PAI with technological advancement and character-building approaches to ensure its relevance in the digital era. This research concludes that strengthening religious literacy through PAI must be carried out holistically by combining knowledge, practice, and values to prepare adolescents as morally responsible individuals capable of making positive contributions to society.

Abstract

This study examines the development of children’s sense of responsibility through the combined and complementary roles of parents and schools. Responsibility is a core moral character that requires consistent guidance, modeling, and reinforcement across multiple environments. Parents act as the primary moral educators by demonstrating responsible behavior, providing clear expectations, fostering open communication, and ensuring consistency between household rules and broader social norms. Such parental practices cultivate intrinsic motivation and moral reasoning in children, allowing them to act responsibly even without direct supervision. Schools, as structured and socially interactive environments, serve as secondary yet essential platforms for reinforcing responsibility. Through formal curricula, extracurricular activities, classroom management, and a supportive moral climate, schools provide practical opportunities for children to apply moral knowledge, develop accountability, and internalize socially shared standards. The study highlights that the highest effectiveness in character formation is achieved when parents and schools collaborate harmoniously. Open communication, joint programs, and aligned values between family and educational institutions create a coherent moral ecosystem, preventing inconsistencies that could confuse children’s moral development. Cultural and religious contexts, particularly in Indonesia, further enrich this process by linking moral responsibility to spiritual and communal obligations. Overall, this study emphasizes that sustainable character education requires the integration of family, schools, and local cultural values, transforming responsibility from a taught concept into a lived habit that shapes both personal and social conduct.

Abstract

This research is motivated by issues in human resource (HR) management in Islamic educational institutions, which still face challenges in aspects of planning, competency development, and the integration of Islamic values into managerial practices. Many Islamic educational institutions do not yet have a directed, sustainable HR management system that aligns with the demands of the modern era, resulting in low professionalism among educators and overall institutional effectiveness. This study uses a library research method by analyzing literature related to modern HR management theory, particularly Gary Dessler's theories, and linking them to management principles from an Islamic perspective. The findings indicate that effective HR planning, sustainable development strategies, and the integration of Islamic spiritual values are key factors in improving the performance of Islamic educational institutions. In addition, the application of the strategic human resource management concept combined with the values of trustworthiness, justice, and excellence can create a professional, ethical, and quality-oriented management system. The implications of this research emphasize that Islamic educational institutions need to develop a human resource management model based on Islamic values that is adaptive to changes in the times, in order to produce educators who are not only academically competent but also possess high moral and spiritual integrity.
