Abstract

Melon plants are one of the top priority crops that need special attention among other horticultural crops, because these plants have their own charms, for example the price is relatively high, has a good taste, smells good and is refreshing. These plants are suitable for development in the Situbondo area because soil and climatic conditions in accordance with the conditions of growing these plants. The level of production of melon farming is determined by the cultivation, because the more intensive the melon cultivation, the higher the production.With a fairly good production results it will be able to increase revenue. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of land area variables, seed variables, fertilizer variables, and labor variables on the amount of melon production in Tanjung Kamal Village, Mangaran District, Situbondo Regency. Methods of data analysis using Cobb Douglas production function analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variables of land area and seeds have a significant effect on melon production, while the variables of fertilizer and labor. work does not have a significant effect on melon production.
