Abstract

This study aims to: (1) produce video-based physics learning media products that are feasible to increase interest and understanding of concepts, (2) find out how high students' interest in learning physics increases by using video-based physics learning media, and (3) find out how high increase in students' understanding of concepts in learning physics by using video-based physics learning media. This research uses the R&D method with the 4D development model. The data analysis technique used to analyze each data is Percentage of Agreement and converting quantitative to qualitative values for video validation and converting quantitative to qualitative values and normalized gain for interest data and student tests. The last stage is the spread (disseminate), namely by providing media to physics teachers at SMKN 1 Palangka Raya students. The results of the development of this media show that: 1) this video-based physics learning media is suitable for use as a physics learning medium with the subject of momentum and impulse, 2) the use of video-based physics learning media can increase students' interest with a gain value of 0.14 (low category) learning, and 3) video-based physics learning media can increase understanding of concepts with a gain value of 0.34 (medium category).
