Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the best temperature for egg hatching and survival of sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus) larvae. This research was carried out for 30 days, 29 May – 29 June 2024, located at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. University. Dr. Hazairin SH. Bengkulu Jl. A. Yani Bengkulu City District. Segara Bay. The design used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of four treatments and six replications, each treatment as follows: P1 (temperature 29ºC), P2 (temperature 30ºC), P3 (temperature 31ºC) and P4 (temperature 32ºC). The fecundity of Sangkuriang catfish obtained was 90,000 eggs. Water temperature has a very significant effect on hatching time, egg hatchability and survival of sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus) larvae. Hatching time The best temperature is 31ºC - 32ºC, while the best hatchability and survival of sangkuriang catfish larvae is at 30ºC where hatchability is 84.33% and survival is 82%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of adding kencur powder (Kaempferia galanga) to artificial feed on the growth of gourami fish (Osphronemus goramy). This research was carried out in April – June 2024 in Bengkulu City for 60 days. The container uses Styrofoam measuring 50 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm. The test fish used were gourami seeds measuring 6 – 8 cm. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, so 24 research units were obtained consisting of P1 (without the addition of galangal powder), P2 (2 gram kencur powder), P3 (4 gram kencur powder) and P4 (2 gram kencur powder). kencur 6 grams).. The results of the research showed that the effect of adding kencur powder to feed had  a highly significant effect on weight gain and length parameters, and had a significant effect on feed conversion but had no real effect on efficiency and survival. The best effect of adding galangal powder was the addition of 2 grams of kencur powder with a survival rate of up to 98%. For farmers to use 2 grams of kencur powder per 100 g of feed as a natural additive to support the growth of gourami, without reducing feed efficiency or survival.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of adding ginger powder to artificial feed on the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research was carried out from May to June 2023 for 60 days located in Margasakti Village, Padang Jaya District. The test fish used were tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) with a size of 10-12 cm/head. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments with 6 repetitions to obtain 24 experimental units. treatment 1 (P1): without adding ginger powder, treatment 2 (P2): 1.5 gram ginger powder, treatment 3 (P3): 1.8 gram ginger powder, treatment 4 (P4): 2.1 gram ginger powder. The data obtained was tested by analysis of variance at the 5% and 1% levels, while to determine the best effect of adding ginger powder, a 5% BNT (Least Significant Difference) further test was carried out. The parameters observed were fish growth, which included absolute length and weight, feed conversion, feed efficiency and survival of the test fish. The results of the research showed that the addition of ginger powder to the growth of tilapia had a very significant effect on the growth in absolute length, absolute weight, feed conversion and feed efficiency. The addition of good ginger powder is the addition of 1.8 grams of ginger powder and the addition of 2.1 grams of ginger powder with survival reaching 100%. In cultivation development, you can use the addition of 1.8 grams of ginger powder.
