Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out about Al-Muqaddimah Ibn Khaldun: Relations between Islamic Education and Civilization. This research uses library research. The results of the study show that: 1) Education according to Ibn Khaldun has diverse and universal goals, including increasing the aspects of thinking and knowledge (al-janib al-fikri wa al-ilmi), social aspects (al-janib al-ijtima'i) , in terms of morals (al-janib al-akhlaqi) and physical aspects (al-janib al-jasadi) in addition to the pragmatic aspect (al-janib an-naf'i), 2) the majority of the population of Islamic countries agree to make the Koran 'an al-karim and several matn (texts) of hadith as the first disciplines learned by children, and 3) teaching methods through gradual (tadrij, gradual) and repetition (takrar, repetition), dialogue methods (al-hiwar) and discussion (al-munaqasa), travel methods and methods of teaching Arabic. Relevance with educational goals, curriculum, teaching methods are in accordance with Islamic civilization.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to realize the integration of science and religion in Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach, which describes and describes the embodiment of the integration of science and religion in Islamic education. The data collection technique used in this research is library research (Library Research) where library research is the activity of collecting materials related to research originating from the Al-Qur'an, Hadith, books, scientific journals, literature and other publications that are worthy of being used as a source for research that the author will examine. The results of the study show that the implications of Islamic education in the development of science include the following: 1) Islamic aqidah as the basis of science, and 2) Islamic Sharia as a standard for the use of science and 2) Islamic education efforts in dealing with the negative impacts of science, namely: 1) amar ma 'ruf, 2) nahi munkar, and 3) faith in Allah.
