Abstract

Title: Resolving Fishermen Conflict through the Development of Co-settlement (Case Study in Cilacap City)The implementation of the ban on fishing using trawlers through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 39 of 1980 has created conflict between trawl fishermen and other fishermen. The conflict also happened in Cilacap, which involved a boat war involving Bonbaru fishermen versus Sidakaya Bakung fishermen that occurred in 1985, which was called a boat war. Then, the conflict was followed by brawls between youths from the two villages, creating an atmosphere of hostility that lasted for years. Was only recently that the dispute really stopped when the government opened a residential area for fishermen and distribution of plots in the Cilacap Archipelago Fishing Port (PPNC) area. The purpose of this study aims to describe the conflict that occurred between the two fishing communities, and this is to measure the level of effectiveness of assimilation of residents from the two areas in PPNC housing to break up the impact of boat war conflicts. The research method used is the mixed method by combining qualitative methods and quantitative methods. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis by presenting data in numerical and graphical forms. The results of a survey involving 30 respondents from PPNC Housing residents produced data, namely 70% of respondents considered that the cause of the harmony of residents in assimilation in PPNC Housing was the need to socialize. In addition, the survey results show 80% of respondents stated that assimilation in PPNC Housing was effective in reconciling fishermen from the two conflicting areas, even 13.3% said it was very effective. The survey also showed that 60% of respondents stated that assimilation in PPNC housing effective in reconciling youth from the two areas, even 23.3% said it was very effective. Thus, the construction of the PPNC Housing proved effective in dissolving the years of hostility as a result of the boat war.

Abstract

Tali bamboo (Gigantochloa apus) is a source of flavonoids which are useful for health, including reducing the mite Sarcoptes scabiei in scabies pathogens. The aim of this study was to make an ointment from tali bamboo leaf extract with a white vaseline and salicylic acid base to treat scabies. The data collection method used experiments with the prevalence method using a sample of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) that had been infected with scabies. Data analysis used descriptive comparative analysis. Tali bamboo leaf extract ointment is made by combining tali bamboo leaf extract, vaseline, salicylic acid, and 0.05 ml of glycerin. Tali bamboo leaf extraction process was carried out using 96% ethanol solvent. The ointment has a cream form, brown color, scented with bamboo leaf extract with a pH of 6.5. The spreading power of the ointment was 3.5 cm and the adhesion was 3.66 seconds. The content of flavonoids in the ointment was 0.1633% w/w QE and phenolics 0.371% w/w GAE. The content of antioxidant compounds in 10 ppm of ointment is 10.09%. The content of antioxidant compounds in 10 ppm of ointment is 10.09%. Ointment has inhibitory power against gram positive bacteria 9 mm, 10 mm and 11 mm. The trial results showed that the use of tali bamboo leaf extract ointment was more effective in treating scabies in rabbits compared to wormectin, ivomec, gusanex, and cooking oil. At 72 hours and 168 hours after treatment with the use of tali bamboo leaf ointment, a significant decrease in the width of the wound was obtained with indicators of changes in the wound shrinking and drying. Meanwhile, at 240 hours, all samples were declared cured of scabies infection. Thus, tali bamboo leaf extract ointment is more effective in treating scabies infection in rabbits than wormectin, ivomec, gusanex and cooking oil.
