Abstract

AbstractEntering God's congregation is not an easy thing for Christians to fulfill, if not wholeheartedly to worship. In this case, it becomes an important element in Deuteronomy 23:1-8, a law regarding God's congregation that may not enter God's congregation and background related to the Church at this time. With the background of this writing are; There is a law that a person whose testicles are crushed or his genitals are cut off may not enter God's congregation, both for an Ammonite or a Moabite who cannot enter God's congregation and an illegitimate child cannot enter God's congregation. Without a good background or history, the reader can draw conclusions in his own opinion without any clarity. So that there is an opportunity for debate about congregations that enter God's congregation at this time. Therefore, the author wants to provide a Biblical interpretation of this verse. Interpretation will be carried out with an overview of the history or background of the occurrence of the law which summarizes a question "Why does this law exist?", "Does this law still apply to the Church Congregation today" and "what are the implications for our lives today". So that readers can understand it well.
