Abstract

This experiment aims to study the effect of PGPR biofertilizer on the growth and yield of lettuce. PGPR is a group of beneficial bacteria that aggressively occupy or colonize the rhizosphere of a thin layer of soil between 1-2 mm around the root zone, PGPR acts as a biofertilizer to accelerate the plant growth process through absorption of nutrients as biostimulants and stimulate plant growth through phytohormones and as a bioprotectant to protect plants from pathogens.This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments, namely P0 (control), P1 (300 ml), P2 (75 ml), and P3 (150 ml), with 5 replications to obtain 20 experimental plants. The observed variables measured were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), root volume (ml), and plant fresh weight at harvest (gr).The results showed that PGPR had a significant effect on plant growth, namely plant height, number of leaves, root volume, and plant fresh weight. The highest growth and yield of lettuce were found in the treatment with PGPR   (300 ml) at the time of planting.Keywords: Lettuce, Organic Fertiliser, PGPR, Growth, and YieldAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian pupuk hayati PGPR terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada. PGPR kelompok bakteri menguntungkan yang agresif  menduduki atau mengkolonisasi rizosfir lapisan tanah tipis antara 1-2 mm di sekitar zona perakaran, PGPR berperan sebagai biofertilizer mempercepat proses pertumbuhan tanaman melalui penyerapan unsur hara sebagai biostimulan dan memacu pertumbuhan tanaman melalui fitohormon dan sebagai bioproktetan melindungi tanaman dari patogen\Penelitian ini mengunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (300 ml), P2 (75 ml), dan P3 (150 ml), dengan 5 ulangan  sehingga diperoleh 20 tanaman percobaan. Variabel pengamatan yang diukur adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), volume akar (ml), dan bobot segar tanaman pada saat panen (gr).    Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian PGPR berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, volume akar, dan bobot segar tanaman. Adapun pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan pemberian PGPR (300 ml) pada saat tanam.Kata kunci : Selada, Pupuk Hayati, PGPR, Pertumbuhan dan Hasil.
