Abstract

The research aims to find out the shape of Japanese bunkers, the factors of bunker placement. the research uses survey methods, observation, supported by interviews and library data. the survey was carried out observing the surface of the land containing archaeological remains based on the results of the interpretation of old maps and aerial photographs obtained from library data. observation is carried out on the remains found, this stage includes description, documentation, and plotting. The analysis used morphological and contextual analysis. The results of the study, there are 56 bunkers which are divided into 5 forms of bunkers. Z, I, U, L, and b.5 forms of bunkers, classified into several parts in the form of Z 3. form I 4. Form U 3. L and B-shaped bunkers found 1 form. The placement of bunkers is influenced by environmental and safety factors.

Abstract

Past civilizations showed specific patterns of development that reflected their mastery of technology and behavior. Cultural developments took the form of technological developments such as pottery, pickaxes, axes, jewelry, and ike stones. The Buttu Batu site, located in Enrekang (South Sulawesi), is evidence of the development of human life with the discovery of traces of past human activity in the form of pottery fragments, stone artifacts, bones, jewelry, and ike stones. One form of decorative motif on pottery fragments found at this site is a pottery fragment decorated with cord-marked. As is known, cord-marked pottery is evidence of a western route migration (migration of Austroasiatic speakers). The methods used to achieve the research objectives were field data collection, data processing in shape analysis, and stylistic analysis, especially for cord-marked pottery. The discovery of cord-marked pottery fragments in Enrekang Regency shows that the western migration route (Austroasiatic) probably migrated to the eastern part of Indonesia, especially the South Sulawesi region, and this requires further investigation.

Abstract

Penelitian artefak litik Toalean yang semakin intensif masih belum banyak melakukan perbandingan teknologi pembuatan alat batu. Studi perbandingan perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan adanya perbedaan strategiadaptasi teknologi berdasarkan aspek lingkungan. Tulisan ini membahas studi perbandingan artefak litik Toalean dari situs Leang Jarie yang ada di dataran rendah Maros-Pangkep dan situs Cappalombo 1 di dataran tinggi Bontocani. Metode yang digunakan adalah klasifikasi dan analisis temuan artefak litik, serta survei dan observasi sumber bahan baku di sekitar situs. Hasil studi perbandingan menunjukkan adanya strategi adaptasi terhadap kondisi bahan baku dan menghasilkan tren teknologi yang berbeda di kedua situs. Kualitas chert yang kurang baik di dataran tinggi Bontocani mendorong pembuatan alat batu di Cappalombo 1 menerapkan strategi pemanfaatan bahan baku yang beragam dan lebih sering menerapkan teknik bipolar untuk mereduksi dan meretus serpih. Sebaliknya, pemanfaatan bahan baku chert di Leang Jarie cenderung homogen dan lebih sering menerapkan teknik pukul langsung.
