Abstract

According to the Indonesian Health Demographic Survey in 2014 the neonatal mortality rate was up to 19/1000 live births. The infant mortality rate is 32/1000 live births and the under-five mortality rate is 40/1000 live births. According to the results of Riskesdas in 2013 that the coverage of incomplete immunization was 32.1%, complete immunization was 59.2% and 8.7% had never been immunized. Efforts to protect children under five are immunizations. Immunization is an effort to provide immunity to infants and children by introducing vaccines into the body in order to make antibodies that can prevent certain diseases. Several reasons were found that caused infants and toddlers not to get complete immunizations, namely because of the lack of information about the mother's knowledge. Mother's knowledge is very important. For this reason, counseling is the right and good solution in overcoming this. The method used in this journal review is to do a library search using Google Scholar. From the results of several journals, immunization counseling can increase knowledge of mothers

Abstract

Medication errors have unexpected effects and are even estimated to impact death significantly. Medication errors can occur in every treatment process, one of which is in the prescribing process. Electronic or e-prescribing is believed to have better effectiveness than manual prescription and is considered significant in reducing medication errors. Implementing e-prescribing has not been going well, especially in Indonesia, and requires evaluation and solutions to get the best health services and provide patient treatment safety. The method used is a literature review with online journal searches published from 2013 to 2021 on the Garuda, Science Direct, and PubMed databases. After the review process, ten journals were assigned for this review. Eight articles state that e-prescribing provides significant benefits and improves patient safety. Meanwhile, two studies reported that there was no significant difference between manual prescriptions and electronic prescriptions. Electronic prescriptions can improve patient care and medication safety by eliminating errors in handwriting, providing access to the patient's prescription history and drug allergies, safety, and speeding up patient waiting times. However, the implementation of e-prescribing has not yet fully worked out due to the lack of human resources, e-prescribing applications, and unsupported facilities.

Abstract

Pharmacoepidemiology studies drug use and drug effects in a large population. Pharmacovigilance or pharmacotherapy belongs to the field of pharmacoepidemiology, which is the study of collecting, detecting, assessing, understanding, and preventing side effects or problems related to the drugs used. Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) are unwanted responses from a drug that occurs at therapeutic doses of disease. Pharmacovigilance studies are conducted to prevent and reduce the incidence of ADRs in the community. This review article aims to determine the importance of pharmacovigilance studies on the incidence of ADRs in the community by identifying the incidence of ADRs that have causality with the disease. The method used is to search for article review sources by searching research journals and scientific articles related to pharmacovigilance studies in pharmacoepidemiology. Data from ten research journals related to pharmacovigilance studies yielded different results for analyzing ADRs. Many found that drugs or other factors influence the incidence of ADRs. ADRs can occur due to the patient's therapy for the disease he is suffering from and produce different complaints or effects in each patient. The literature study that has been carried out has created data related to pharmacovigilance studies on the incidence of ADRs, such as the incidence factors and the methods used. The incidence of ADRs can be reduced by applying pharmacovigilance and paying attention to the factors that cause ADRs.

Abstract

This antenatal examination is carried out at least six times. In the first trimester, two antenatal checks are carried out, the second trimester is one examination; and in the third trimester, three antenatal examinations are carried out. There are several factors related to antenatal care visits. Namely education, knowledge, attitudes, and support from the husband or family. This study aims to determine the factors that influence antenatal care examinations based on the results of the studies conducted—using the literature review method for several national articles limited to the last ten years, namely (2011-2022). From the ten articles used as literature, a significant relationship was found between knowledge, education, attitudes, and husband or family support with ANC visiting behaviour. Health workers are expected to pay more attention to the quality and quantity of ANC counselling for pregnant women, and pregnant women are expected to increase awareness regarding carrying out ANC visits. Ten national articles are used as literature; some factors can influence pregnant women's visits to carry out ANC examinations. These factors include education, knowledge, attitudes, and the support relationship of the husband or family

Abstract

Iron supplements are one of the many supplements needed by pregnant women. Giving Fe tablets to pregnant women aims to reduce the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The addition of cases of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year. This is due to the low compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets. In various cities in Indonesia, it is seen that the level of compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets is still low. The purpose review is to determine the relationship between the adherence of pregnant women to consume Fe tablets with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The type of research used is observational analysis with cross-sectional. The results from these journals show a very significant relationship between the level of compliance with anemia cases in pregnant women based on the characteristics of the respondents, such as age, education, occupation, anemia status, compliance, knowledge, attitudes, and others. To increase adherence to pregnant women, attention, counseling, and family support are needed to guarantee the health of the mother and fetus.

Abstract

When in good physical health, humans can easily carry out various activities. However, there are times when the body cannot carry out activities as usual because the body is exposed to diseases which usually begin with symptoms that can be felt. Fever is a symptom of the onset of the disease with an increase in body temperature above normal (> 38 ° C). To overcome the fever that occurs in children, pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy can be done. Pharmacological therapy is by giving fever-reducing drugs. Fever drugs often used are antipyretic groups, for example, paracetamol or ibuprofen. This study aims to examine what antipyretic drugs are most often chosen for the treatment of fever in children. The method in this study is a systematic review traced through Google Scholar and PubMed with a 10-year publication range from 2012 to 2022. The results of this study show that paracetamol and ibuprofen are indeed the first choices for treating fever in children. In choosing antipyretics, there is still a balance between paracetamol or ibuprofen; this is influenced by knowledge factors, ranging from information obtained through personal searches to information from relatives and from doctor's prescriptions that have been received.

Abstract

Background: Antibiotics are needed to treat infections caused by pathogenic bacteria. The use of antibiotics to treat bacterial infections when carried out in an inappropriate manner can have adverse consequences both clinically and economically. Inappropriate dosage, timing and frequency of use can lead to resistance. From various studies in various places, it was found that the knowledge and behavior of the community in the use of antibiotics were still not wise and rational. One of the health problems is antibiotic resistance where many Indonesian people still do not understand antibiotic resistance, one of which is influenced by the behavior of using antibiotics. Several factors have been known to influence use including poor governance, weak enforcement of laws and lack of knowledge. Conclusion: of this activity is to know the level of society regarding antibiotics as well as antibiotic resistance. Methods: used is a literature review which was analyzed from several scientific publications in national journals regarding antibiotic resistance.
