Abstract

Sigapiton is one of the villages in Ajibata District, Toba Regency, with an area of ​​70.80 km² (BPS, 2018). Sigapiton Village consists of Hamlet I (Lumban Butar-butar 1 and Lumban Butar-butar 2), Hamlet II (Sosor Dolok, Sosor Baringin, Lumban Nauli, Lumban Hasatan). Sigapiton Village has a total of 175 heads of families, assuming that each family has 4-7 people. Community Service Lectures (KPPM) are a form of practical learning activities in the context of applying interdisciplinary knowledge which students carry out directly in the community. This tourist attraction revitalization activity begins by explaining the purpose of the service, namely so that the community can take advantage of the tourist attraction in order to increase the number of tourists visiting the village. By carrying out the revitalization of this tourist attraction in Sigapiton Village, it is hoped that it will be able to encourage local residents, especially Sigapiton residents, to maintain and develop this tourist attraction.

Abstract

This study aims to Socialize Motorcycle Maintenance in Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. From the Community Service Lecture activity where the implementation of the 2021 KPPM program of HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar in Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency, the conclusions obtained include: 1) Through motorcycle maintenance socialization activities, it is hoped that it can provide insight into the importance of caring for and maintaining the performance of their motorbikes 2) Through motorcycle maintenance socialization activities and with good education, motorbike owners can avoid unnecessary damage, as well as extend the life of the vehicle and also ensure safety while driving. First of all, the author would like to express his deepest gratitude to the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar for providing the opportunity to carry out this activity. Furthermore, my gratitude is also conveyed to the Head of Sibuntuon Village, Dolok Pardamean District, Simalungun Regency who has permitted the participants of the KPPM of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University for the February-March Period in Sibuntuon Village. Then, my gratitude is also conveyed to the people of Sibuntuon Village who have helped a lot with this KPPM activity.

Abstract

Desa Pardomuan Nauli, Kecamatan Ajibata, Kabupaten Toba, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Tempat ini merupakan tempat yang mempunyai potensi yang dapat dikembangkan baik dari Sumber Daya Alamnya. Permasalahan yang terdapat di Desa Pardomuan Nauli adalah potensi alam yang belum dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik dan kurangnya keterampilan dalam mengelola potensi desa. Oleh karena itu, program kerja kelompok KPPM UHKBPNP yang berlokasi di Desa Pardomuan adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran warga akan pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Program kerja yang dibuat bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat agar lebih maju dengan memperhatikan bagaimana menata kebersihan di lingkungan masyarakat. Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam di Desa Pardomuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah di bidang pariwisata dengan membuat dan menata ulang lokasi-lokasi di lokasi wisata seperti membuat Outdoor Décor Backyard dan menata kembali tanaman hijau di kawasan wisata Desa Pardomuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penjelasan yang berisi teori dan juga praktek langsung. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pemahaman peserta sosialisasi kepada masyarakat Desa Pardomuan mengenai pengelolaan dan perencanaan lingkungan hidup

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Sosialisasi Perawatan Sepeda Motor Di Desa Sibuntuon Kecamatan Dolok Pardamean Kabupaten Simalungun Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dari kegiatan Kuliah Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat yang dimana dengan pelaksanaan program KPPM Angkatan 2021 Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar di desa Sibuntuon, Kecamatan Dolok Pardamean Kabupaten Simalungin, kesimpulan yang didapatkan antara lain: 1) Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi perawatan sepeda motor diharapakan dapat memberikan wawasan pengetahuan terhadap pentingnya merawat dan menjaga performa motor mereka 2) Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi perawatan sepeda motor dan dengan edukasi yang baik , pemilik motor dapat menghindari kerusakan yang tidak perlu , serta memperpanjangan usia kendaraan dan juga memastikan keselamatan saat berkendara. Pertama-tama Penulis mengucapkan terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar yang telah memberikan kesempatan untuk melakukan kegiatan ini. Selanjutnya ucapan terima kasih juga disampaikan kepada Bapak Kepala desa Sibuntuon, Kecamatan Dolok Pardamean, Kabupaten Simalungun yang telah mengijinkan peserta KPPM Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar Periode Februari-Maret di Desa Sibuntuon. Abstract

The Community Service Program (KPPM) that has been implemented has had a positive impact on the community, particularly in raising awareness about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. Through this program, the people of Pardomuan Village—especially the youth—have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of keeping the environment clean as an integral part of daily life. As a result of this activity, the community has become more active in mutual cooperation and in working together with the local government to create a waste-free environment. Considering that environmental cleanliness is both a right and a shared necessity in maintaining a healthy environment, it is hoped that similar activities can be carried out sustainably to provide long-term benefits for both the local community and visiting tourists.

Abstract

The boiling process of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) at PTPN IV Kebun Mayang is carried out using a semi-automatic system using a horizontal steam pressure sterilizer. This study analyzed three boiling time programs, namely 85 minutes, 90 minutes, and 95 minutes, with a triple peak pressure system. The purpose of the study was to determine the most optimal boiling time to obtain the potential palm oil yield. The method used was a direct experiment with quantitative and qualitative observations of the potential of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and oil yield. The results showed that the average RMS of the 85-minute experiment was 16.98%, the average RMS of the 90-minute experiment was 23.76%, and the average RMS of the 95-minute experiment was 19.44%. In conclusion, the 90-minute boiling time appears to provide the most balanced results. Boiling that is too short results in low yields while boiling that exceeds the optimum limit also tends to reduce the quality or amount of extractable yield.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the needs of the ice block industry for products with higher resistance to melting in order to maintain distribution quality and improve operational efficiency. This research aims to analyze the effect of freezing duration on the melting time of ice blocks and to determine the most optimal freezing time among 24 hours, 27 hours, and 30 hours. The research methodology employs a mixed-method approach through direct observation conducted during Field Work Practice (PKL). Quantitative data were obtained from measurements of the melting time of ice blocks produced under three different freezing durations with three repetitions, while qualitative data were collected from observations of the freezing process and the physical condition of the ice. The freezing process was carried out at a temperature range of −10°C to −15°C using a brine-based cooling system. The results indicate that freezing for 24 hours produces an average melting time of 8.5 hours, freezing for 27 hours results in an average melting time of 10.2 hours, and freezing for 30 hours results in an average melting time of 12.5 hours. These findings demonstrate that longer freezing durations lead to increased melting time of ice blocks. Freezing for 30 hours provides the longest melting time and is considered the most optimal in enhancing resistance to melting.
