Abstract

Seeing how useful role playing activities are in improving children's speaking skills, the author wants to conduct a study with the title of implementing role playing activities to improve children's speaking skills in Musafir Kleak Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of role playing activities in improving children's speaking skills in Musafir Kleak Kindergarten. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research method is classroom action research which refers to the research model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, 1988 (Trianto, 2001:17) with the following stages of research: action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were students in GMIM Musafir Kleak Manado Kindergarten with a total of 20 students. Sources of data are students and teachers at GMIM Musafir Kleak Manado Kindergarten, while the data collection technique is through field notes. The data in this study were collected in several ways, namely observation and document analysis. The time of the research is carried out for 4 (four) months. The place of research was carried out at GMIM Musafir Kleak Kindergarten, Manado. The success rate of the implementation of cycle 1 is 68% of children actively participating in learning, while in cycle 2, children are successful 85%. If the two cycles were compared, cycle 2 was more successful than cycle 1. Looking at the results of this classroom action research, it can be said that this role playing method is good to be applied in learning, especially in developing speaking and language skills. However, it must be considered in the provision of role-playing tools that can attract children's interest, even though the tool or media is in the simplest form. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that learning by using the role playing method that is done well can improve speaking skills in group B children of GMIM Musafir Kleak Kindergarten

Abstract

Independence is an individual's ability to manage himself and not depend on parents. The growth and development of the child's personality, especially independence, is influenced by the parenting style applied in the family. Appropriate parenting will increase children's independence and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between parenting style and the level of physical independence of children at preschool age (4-6 years) at GMIM Eben Haezar Kaaten Kindergarten. This type of research is Correlational Analytical, with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 25 student respondents at GMIM Eben Haezar Kaaten Kindergarten. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The statistical test used in this study is Chi Square with α 0.05. The results of this study show that the level of physical independence is in the less independent category (64%) with permissive parenting (48%) and authoritarian parenting (16%). Chi Square analysis results obtained ρ value = 0.000 <α = 0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between parenting and the level of physical independence of children at preschool age (4-6 years) at GMIM Eben Haezar Kaaten Kindergarten with a closeness relationship of 0.707, which means a close relationship categorized as strong. From the results of research, parents are able to apply proper parenting to their children so that they can increase physical independence in children.

Abstract

Nutrition is an important element in the process of growth and development of children. Teachers' knowledge about nutrition is one of the tasks to fulfill their competence as a teacher. The purpose of this study was to describe teachers' knowledge of child nutrition in early childhood education. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results of this study show that the average percentage of teacher knowledge about child nutrition in early childhood education is 50%, meaning that teachers must continue to increase their knowledge of child nutrition in early childhood education. Both knowledge about children's nutritional needs, nutrition in early childhood education, and nutrition in the implementation of learning must continue to be improved even though teachers' knowledge of nutrition in early childhood education has reached 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengembangkan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan melalui penerapan metode bermain peran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk medeskripsikan penerapan metode main peran untuk mengembangkan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Santa Bernadette Karombasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dilaksanakan tiga kali siklus dengan langkah-langkahnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah anak TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan kelompok B yang berjumlah 20 orang anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan catatan lapangan serta analisa data menggunakan teknik penilaian di TK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siklus I 71,6 % dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 85% dan siklus III meningkat lagi menjadi 96,6%. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan pengembangan karakter jujur pada anak di TK Katolik Santa Bernadette Karombasan. Karena itu disarankan agar guru-guru TK menerapkan metode main peran untuk meningkatkan pengembangan karakter jujur pada anak

Abstract

This research was motivated by the situation where group B children at the GMIM Siloam Taratara Kindergarten still did not make enough scribbles on paper or other media prepared by the teacher so that the children were unable to write their own names. Researchers apply word imitation games to improve children's ability to write their own names. Writing this thesis uses the Kemmis and Mc model of Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach. Taggart with steps starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection which are carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were 20 people, consisting of 12 men and 8 women. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and tests. The results showed that in cycle I it was 70% and cycle II it was 83.75%. The conclusion of this research is that implementing word imitation games can improve children's ability to write their own names. So it is recommended for kindergarten children to be more active in learning activities that apply word imitation games, kindergarten teachers to use word imitation games to stimulate children's ability to write their own names, and for the school to always provide support and be open to implementing word imitation games in learning process.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang penggunaan media dan metode dimana guru hanya menggunakan ceramah, menggunakan media gambar, serta media balok yang masih sangat sedikit dan tidak dapat mencakup semua anak, sehingga membuat anak cepat merasa bosan dan tidak tertarik pada pembelajaran bentuk geometri. Untuk itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak melalui bermain alat permainan edukatif (APE) kantong geometri pintar Di TK Katolik Santa Theressia Mangaran Talaud. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus meliputi empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Dengan subjek 10 anak terdiri 3 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Hasil yang dicapai pada siklus I anak yang mencapai indikator secara maksimal ada 4 orang anak atau 40% sedangkan 6 orang anak atau 60% belum mengenal bentuk geometri (segitiga,segi empat dan lingkaran) dengan baik. Pada siklus II hasilnya meningkat, anak yang berhasil mencapai indikator dan mengenal bentuk geometri (segitiga,segi empat dan lingkaran) dengan baik ada 10 atau 100% orang anak menunjukkan perkembangan kemampuan kognitif dalam mengenal bentuk geometri dan dinyatakan berhasil. Untuk itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui bermain alat permainan edukatif (APE) kantong geometri pintar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam bentuk geometri (segitiga,segi empat dan lingkaran) meningkat.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of children about recognising geometric shapes, the purpose of this study is to get an overview of the use of sorting box game media to improve cognitive abilities to recognise shapes in children. The type of research used in the study is classroom action research refers to the Kemis and McTaggart model which has four stages: 1. planning, 2. implementation, 3. observation, 4. reflection. The research subjects were children in GMIM 15 Tandurusa Kindergarten, Bitung City, totalling 10 children. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Research results in cycle I obtained 60% which is where there are still many children who have not reached learning completeness, and continued in cycle II obtained results 100. From the results obtained, it means that the objectives of this study have been successful. The conclusion is that the sorting box game media can improve cognitive abilities to recognise geometric shapes in children

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ingin mengetahui hasil Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh ditemui anak-anak yang beelum dapat mengenal warna denga baik, yang ditandai dengan kurangnya kemampuan membedakan warna dalam kegiatan mewarnai. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart yang memiliki empat tahap: 1. Perencanaan 2. Pelaksanaan 3. Observasi dan 4. Refleksi. Subjek Penelitian yaitu 15 anak di TK Tunas Baru Manembo- Nembo Tengah Kota Bitung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang saya gunakan yaitu Observasi dan Tes. Hasil Penelitian Siklus I yaitu terdapat 53, 33% dan dilanjutkan pada siklus II dan memperoleh peningkatan pada hasil belajar yaitu mencapai 100%. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa penelitian ini berhasil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak dengan penggunaan media gambar untuk mengenal warna dasar pada anak di TK Tunas Baru Manembo-Nembo Tengah Kota Bitung
