Abstract

This paper aims to explore the thoughts of Ludwig Wittgenstein's language games which are appropriate for caring for the political world in Indonesia. In this post-truth era, Indonesia as a plural nation is being hit by the phenomenon of identity politics by bringing up religious and ethnic issues. The truth is no longer easy to identify objectively because of the political element of interest under the guise of identity, with the pretext that it involves the emotional aspect of the public. As a result, objective truth is obscured by the emotional nuances of religion and ethnicity that are formed. In analyzing this phenomenon, we use the method of critical reading of the phenomenon of religious identity politics in Indonesia in the perspective of Wittgenstein's thought. Through the perspective of Ludwig Wittgenstein's language games, we want to bring back the pluriformity of the Indonesian nation in the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Through Wittgenstein's thought, the author wants to analyze the plurality of the Indonesian nation as an objective fact that describes the real reality of the Indonesian nation. The reality of this pluriformity is an undeniable reality and makes every people aware of the existence of autonomy, the existence of their respective language games that cannot be mixed up. Therefore, to realize unity and unity, it is necessary to idealize towards a unity that respects each other. This is summarized in the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
