Abstract

God gave a divine mandate to humans (women and men) since the beginning of creation is to rule the world (Genesis 1:27). Women and men were created in the image and likeness of God, equal in God's presence, and received the same Divine mandate and carried out the Divine mandate according to God's commands or will. To find out specifically about women in carrying out Divine mandates, this writing is reviewed theologically using qualitative methods, namely literature or literature study. Then it is presented in the form of a theological review description. Abstract

Spiritual resilience is an important aspect of the lives of Christian women as it relates to their ability to socialise and develop their spiritual lives. In societies still influenced by patriarchal constructs, women often face marginalisation and, inevitably, limitations in gaining recognition for their spiritual roles and experiences. The theological foundations for the development of women’s spirituality have not yet been fully explored. This study aims to analyse the spiritual resilience of Christian women through a feminist theological examination of women’s narratives in the New Testament. It employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. It can therefore be concluded that the spiritual resilience of Christian women in New Testament narratives is formed through a deep relationship with God in the face of marginalisation, as well as the courage to fulfil their spiritual calling amidst patriarchal social structures. The reinterpretation of women’s narratives through a feminist theological perspective affirms that women are active subjects in God’s work of salvation, making a significant contribution to the formation of spirituality. These findings result in the construction of a model of Christian women’s spiritual resilience that is relevant to the development of feminist theology and provides practical implications for church ministry.

Abstract

Life crises can affect a person's mental, emotional, and spiritual condition, requiring a recovery process that addresses the whole person. This study aims to analyze the restoration of the soul in light of Psalm 23 through the integration of Christian spirituality and psychological perspectives and to examine its relevance to pastoral counseling. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were obtained from the Bible, particularly Psalm 23, books, scholarly journals in theology and psychology, and relevant pastoral counseling literature. The analysis was conducted by identifying key themes in Psalm 23, such as God as the Shepherd, protection, provision, guidance, peace, and security, and then relating them to psychological principles for coping with crises. The findings indicate that integrating spirituality and psychology can provide a more holistic approach to the restoration of the soul. Prayer, meditation, strengthening of faith, social support, and psychological assistance are relevant to supporting mental and emotional well-being. This study recommends developing an integrative pastoral counseling approach based on Psalm 23.
