<![CDATA[Eschatology is a branch of Theology, focusing on what will happen in the last days of the world and human history, studying into a season that will take place in the future, that is a reality that the history of the world and all the human beings would finally reach a consumed end. This is actually a process that is progressing toward a-by-God-appointed-end. God with all His understanding has decided and determined since eternity. Speaking of the endtimes means the hope of those who believe, because at that time the glorious coming of Christ shall be fulfilled and the established Kingdom of God will be marked with the judgment seat for the living and the dead. In the beginning of Jesus’ministry He proclaimed repentance and the Kingdom of God (Matthew 4:17). Mark explained at the start of his ministry, John was imprisoned, Jesus appeared and proclaimed the Gospel, about ther Kingdom of God. He said: “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15) The purpose of proclaiming the Gospel is for those who hear it will repent and believe in the Gospel. Jesus clearly showed there is a relevance between sharing the Gospel and eschatology. Abstrak Eskatologi merupakan salah satu cabang ilmu teologi yang membahas tentang peristiwa-peristiwa terakhir dalam sejarah dunia dan manusia, mempelajari tentang suatu masa yang akan terjadi dimasa yang akan datang yaitu suatu kenyataan bahwa sejarah dunia beserta dengan segenap umat manusia akhirnya akan mencapai suatu titik konsumasi . Proses ini adalah proses sejarah yang sesungguhnya yang bergerak menuju suatu akhir yang telah ditentukan Tuhan. Allah dengan keputusan kebijaksanaan-Nya telah menentukan dan diputuskan oleh Allah sejak kekal. Berbicara tentang akhir zaman berarti berbicara tentang pengharapan orang percaya, karena pada waktu itu kedatangan Kristus yang dipenuhi dengan kemuliaan-Nya dan hadirnya Kerajaan Allah yang ditandai dengan adanya penghakiman bagi orang yang hidup dan yang mati. Pada awal pelayanan Yesus, Ia memberitakan tentang pertobatan dan Kerajaan Allah (Mat 4:17). Markus menjelaskan permulaan pelayanan Yesus ketika Yohanes Pembaptis ditangkap. Yesus tampil dan memberitakan Injil Allah tentang kerajaan Allah, kata-Nya waktunya “sudah genap, Kerajaan Allah sudah dekat. Bertobatlah dan percayalah kepada Injil” (Mrk 1:14-15); Pemberitaan Injil bertujuan agar orang yang mendengar pemberitaan tersebut bertobat dan percaya kepada Injil.
