Abstract

This research is motivated by changes in consumer behavior in consuming food using Go-food services. The purpose of this research is to analyze the behavior of Muslim consumers in relation to Go-food users, especially the behavior of consumers who live in urban areas. This study will also examine the influence of religiosity and lifestyle on consumer behavior. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, namely by surveying 96 Muslim respondents using Go-Food in Padang City, the area was chosen because it has a dominant Muslim population. The analysis technique uses statistical tests t test, f test, and R2 test. Data processing in this study uses SPSS 22. The results of this study prove that simultaneously Religiosity and Lifestyle have a significant effect on Consumer Behavior. From the f test, the research significance was <0.05 (0.000 <0.05), and f table > f table (13.266 > 3.09). For the religiosity variable, it can be seen that the Sig value shows a number <0.05 (0.000 <0.05), and tcount > ttable (3.775 > 1.989), then Ha is accepted Ho is rejected. For the Lifestyle variable, it can be seen that the Sig value shows <0.05 (0.004 <0.05), and t_count>t_(table) (2.931 >1.989), then Ha is accepted Ho is rejected. The implications of this study show that together the independent variables play an important role in determining consumer behavior. All independent variables can explain their influence on consumer behavior by 20.5% and the remaining 79.5% can be explained by other variables outside this study.

Abstract

Whether we realize it or not, there is a role and results of the inspiration of fatwas of scholars (personally or collectively) in addition to laws and regulations in various Islamic countries on innovation and development of waqf objects. Dar al-Ifta Egypt is one of them, has issued many fatwas on innovation of waqf objects, including on stock waqf and distribution of benefits, which is contained in fatwa no. 3598 of 2006 on Waqf al-Ashumi wa Tasbil 'Awa'idiha. This study aims to determine the legal status and arguments in the fatwa of Dar al-Ifta. This study is a qualitative study, with research data sourced from primary data in the form of the fatwa, using content analysis as a data analysis tool. This study shows that Dar al-Ifta has determined in its fatwa that stock waqf and distribution of benefits are permissible. Dar al-Ifta's argument for allowing it is using the concept of analogy (equation) regarding the permissibility of cash waqf. Dar al-Ifta strengthens its fatwa argument by referring to several arguments, where the arguments are the opinions of the scholars of the School of Thought about the permissibility of cash waqf (dinar and dirham). By knowing the legal status and arguments of the Dar al-Ifta fatwa, shares are determined as something that has the same function and benefits as money so that it can be used as an object of waqf (such as in the category of movable objects). This fatwa has implications for efforts to reform Islamic law in the field of waqf, and also has practical implications for society and for the increasingly advanced development of Islamic economics and finance. Furthermore, it is an open area for further research, related to the impact on the spread and response of society after the fatwa is issued or determined. It is also interesting to study the practice of stock waqf in various Islamic countries that are currently taking place, by linking it to existing fatwas and connecting it from various perspectives.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of compliance with Islamic economic law principles in savings products offered by Islamic financial institutions, such as Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT). Previous research has largely focused on marketing aspects and the impact of savings products on financial institution revenue, but has not specifically addressed the implementation of wadi’ah and mudharabah contracts and the implications of unclear contracts on Sharia compliance. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic economic law in savings products at BMT in Payakumbuh City, focusing on wadi’ah and mudharabah contracts. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. The study was conducted at BMT in Payakumbuh City from June to August 2024. Data sources consist of primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with BMT managers and customers, and secondary data in the form of contract documents used by BMT. Data collection techniques include interviews and document analysis, while data analysis uses qualitative descriptive methods with a non-statistical approach. To ensure data validity, member checking and source triangulation techniques were employed. The results indicate that the implementation of wadi’ah and mudharabah contracts in savings products at BMT in Payakumbuh City generally complies with Sharia principles, although there are some challenges related to contract clarity and communication with customers. This study is expected to contribute to the development of understanding of Islamic economic law and the practice of savings products at BMT, as well as increase public awareness in choosing Sharia-compliant financial products.

Abstract

The rise of online loans and PayLater services in Indonesia has raised concerns about financial vulnerability, especially among middle-income earners. This study aims to examine the relationship between financial behavior, financial stress, and the risk of being entangled in online lending. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents, predominantly teachers aged 31–45 with bachelor’s degrees. The analysis reveals a significant inverse relationship between financial behavior and financial stress, as well as between financial behavior and susceptibility to online loans. Key indicators such as budgeting, saving habits, and financial control were found to influence outcomes. Despite their stable income and educational background, many respondents lacked essential financial practices such as recording income and expenses, creating budgets, and building emergency funds. This highlights a behavioral gap between financial knowledge and application. The findings emphasize the need for targeted financial literacy programs that promote not only knowledge but also behavioral change. Strengthening responsible financial habits is essential to improving financial resilience and reducing dependence on high-risk digital credit platforms.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the expansion of Generation Z (Gen-Z) pose dual challenges and transformative opportunities for the Islamic banking industry. This study aims to formulate a digital strategy to maintain Sharia compliance and market competitiveness. Using a descriptive-qualitative library research approach, this paper evaluates technology adoption through TAM, UTAUT, Institutional Theory, and Maqashid al-Shariah frameworks. The findings highlight a critical market mismatch: while Gen-Z accounts for 24.93% of Indonesia's 284.67 million population, the Islamic banking market share stagnates at 7.51% due to low financial literacy. As digital natives, Gen-Z demands high performance expectancy, rapid access, and robust cybersecurity to prevent data breaches. Consequently, this study proposes a "Dual-Engine Transformation" strategy. Engine 1 leverages advanced AI for objective operational efficiency and algorithmic re-engineering to support wealth protection (Hifzh al-Mal). Engine 2 digitizes Islamic social finance (ZISWAF) and halal lifestyles to drive public welfare (Hifzh al-'Aql). Ultimately, implementing digital Sharia governance driven by Sharia IT Auditors and Algorithmic Sharia Certifications is vital to ensuring transactional sanctity (barakah) in an automated era.
