Abstract

One of the compulsory subjects in madrasas in the 2013 curriculum is Arabic. Arabic as the subject of learning in KTSP is certainly different when it is in the 2013 curriculum. This is seen in the Core competencies, the core competencies of Arabic are the competencies that are expected to be possessed by students after learning Arabic as a standard competency for graduates. Achieving such competence is a hard task for a teacher because he is required to be able to characterize Arabic in students, especially Arabic only as a tool consisting of a series of skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. So that in practice teachers are still carried away by the nuances of the previous curriculum and have not been able to make learning designs in tune with the characteristics of the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of students' Arabic language skills through an internship program. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach to investigate the various teaching methods used during the internship program and their impact on students' Arabic language skills. We collected numerical data to assess the improvement of Arabic language skills. Pre and post-tests are used to measure progress before and after the internship program. The instruments used include Arabic language tests, questionnaires, and language skills assessment scales. The study used the Likert scale to assess participants' perceptions of the internship program In addition, the mastery of vocabulary and the teaching methods used also play an important role in improving students' Arabic language skills. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective Arabic teaching methods.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' interest and learning outcomes based on students' learning characteristics using ASSURE model learning design in geography class XI-4 SMAN 1 Watubangga Kabupaten Kolaka. The research method uses a class action research design (PTK), data is collected using observation techniques, questionnaires, and tests and the data is analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study concluded that there was an increase in interest in learning seen based on indicators of interest in learning, in the indicator of attention to learning increased from 61.83% to 79.46%, then the indicator of student interest with a percentage of 65.84% to 80.35%, in the third indicator the feeling of pleasure had a percentage of 64.5% to 80.35%, and the fourth indicator, namely active in learning, also increased with a percentage of 62.27% to 80.58%. Likewise, students' learning outcomes have increased where the average score in cycle 1 was 67 to 81 in cycle 2 with a percentage of classical completeness of 46% in cycle 1 to 86% in cycle 2. The results of this study indicate that the application of ASSURE learning model designed based on students' learning characteristics can improve students' interest and learning outcomes in geography learning.
