Abstract

The technical assistance activity for writing articles Homebase Lecturer Service and Research at the Tarbiyah Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau (STIT. Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau) College of Science is a collaborative service activity between the Batam Tourism Polytechnic and STIT. Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau. The target achievement of this activity is to be able to create a means of publishing scientific papers from the results of OJS-based research and service. This journal uses the V.3.3 type of PKP. So far STIT. Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau itself has had a journal to publish the results of research and dedication of lecturers and students in print and online form since 2022. Where the means of publication in mid-2022 are Tadribuna: Journal of Islamic Education Management and Ta'diban: Journal of Islamic Education. Both of these journals focus publications on research results. In this activity, the servant collaborated between the STIT. Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau institution and the Batam Tourism Polytechnic, the method of community service activities was carried out face to face and Virtual meetings using a live meeting-based information system to accelerate finding solutions and priority scale OJS-based journal publications at STIT. Hidayatullah Batam Kepulauan Riau. The method approach used is lectures, role play and demonstrative as well as direct practice in live meetings using zoom meetings that have been scheduled regularly and in a structured manner. The results obtained are participants are able to register at OJS as writers, can submit articles, then become part of the editorial board and can play a role in the regular and measurable OJS management process before the articles are published until the articles will be published by OJS. The limitations of long distances, time and instruments used during mentoring activities for community service activities can be minimized with the support of internet access technology that is quite good, the enthusiasm of the activity participants and a family atmosphere to jointly advance STIT. Abstract

Pendidikan pada dasarnya adalah upaya meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki karakter dan dapat hidup mandiri. Sedangkan pendidikan karakter merupakan upaya yang dilakukan secara terencana dalam mengembangkan potensi peserta didik, agar memiliki sistem berpikir, sistem nilai, dan keyakinan yang diwariskan oleh orang tua, lingkungan masyarakat dan lingkungan sekolah agar peserta didik dapat berkembang sesuai kehidupan pada masa kini dan masa mendatang. Tujuan dari pendidikan karakter yaitu agar peserta didik memiliki karakter kepribadian yang baik dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai positif di lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan masyarakat maupun lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang homeschooling dalam sudut pandang pendidikan Islam. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kepustakaan, homeschooling merupakan proses pendidikan terarah yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dan juga keluarga terhadap anak-anaknya dengan proses belajar mengajar yang kondusif. Dalam Islam, proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model homeschooling yang dilakukan oleh orang tua atau keluarga sudah biasa dilakukan. Bahkan, Islam dengan sangat tegas memberikan tanggung jawab langsung pendidikan Islam untuk anaknya kepada orang tua. Orang tualah yang paling pertama dan utama memberikan pendidikan pada putra-putrinya ke arah yang baik agar mereka terbimbing menjadi anak-anak yang dapat dibanggakan kelak di hadapan Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. Homeschooling berdasarkan perspektif pendidikan Islam mempunyai dasar dalam Al-Qur’an dan as-sunnah.

Abstract

Increasing the effectiveness of learning requires paying attention to appropriate learning strategies. This article aims to determine the increase in learning effectiveness through learning strategies. This article is the result of a literature review based on related books and journals. Increasing the effectiveness of learning can be done by choosing the right learning strategy. The selection of learning strategies must pay attention to certain criteria or standards, such as learning objectives, material, student characteristics, educational staff, and time.

Abstract

Class III elementary school students are expected to be able to do multiplication sequentially both during the multiplication process and the accuracy of the results. However, students still do not fully understand the multiplication calculation operation, especially in a sequential way. This research aims to: 1) analyze the difficulties of learning mathematics in the Multiplication Calculation Operation material for class III students; 2) describe the factors causing these difficulties; 3) describe the efforts made to overcome these difficulties. This research includes qualitative research. The research results obtained: 1) Difficulty learning mathematical multiplication calculation operations experienced by class III Elementary School, namely: Difficulty understanding symbols, place value in multiplication, incorrect processes in multiplication, and calculations in multiplication; 2) Internal factors dominate the factors causing these difficulties; 3) Efforts made to overcome these difficulties are: the need to provide supporting training, guidance from teachers. This can be an essential note for teachers in mathematics and multiplication calculation operations. The impact of this research is as a consideration for mathematics teachers in teaching number multiplication material, as well as knowing more about the characteristics of students in solving number multiplication problems.

Abstract

The mathematical abilities of second-grade elementary school students in the multiplication operation material are still relatively low. Seeing this condition, teachers must pay attention to teaching students variations in the use of learning media that invite students to play while learning so that teachers can instil the mindset that multiplication is very easy. One learning media that can be used is the multiplication wheel learning media. This research aims to describe the design of multiplication wheel learning media on number multiplication material. This research is library research. Using the multiplication wheel learning media in Mathematics subjects in class II SD/MI can improve student learning outcomes because learning activities are carried out by playing while thinking. With learning media like this, students will not get bored and bored when participating in learning activities. The multiplication wheel learning media is also very easy for lower-grade students to use. This multiplication wheel learning media is three-dimensional. Because the media does not move and does not make sound, in learning mathematics, especially in improving material, the teacher must be able to instil the mindset that addiction is very easy. Using the learning media of the accretion wheel in Mathematics in class II SD/MI can improve student learning outcomes because learning activities are carried out by playing while thinking. The existence of learning media like this will make students not bored and not bored in participating in learning activities. Improved learning media is now also very easy for low-grade students to use. This accretion wheel learning media includes three-dimensional learning media because the media does not move on its own and does not make sound.

Abstract

Ketercapaian pembelajaran matematika yang baik diperoleh dari manajemen kelas yang baik, efektif dan efisien dari seorang guru matematika. Hal ini mendasari perlunya mengkaji peran guru dalam manajemen kelas pada pembelajaran matematika. Tulisan ini termasuk metode library research. Teknik pengumpulan data nya menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil temuan diperoleh bahwa peran guru dalam manajemen kelas pada pembelajaran matematika yaitu tahapan perencanaan, pengimplementasian dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan, seorang guru perlu memperhatikan keberhasilan pembelajaran dengan melihat karakteristik siswa, materi pelajaran, media pembelajaran, dan cara maupun metode yang akan digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Adapun pada tahap implementasi, guru perlu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif, mengatur waktu dengan efektif, memanfaatkan sumber daya pendidikan yang menarik, dan membangkitkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika. Selanjutnya, pada tahapan evaluasi, guru perlu melakukan evaluasi proses dan hasil belajar siswa untuk mengukur prestasi belajar dan melakukan perbaikan terhadap hasil belajar mtematika yang belum maksimal.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the difficulty of learning mathematics in fraction material in class V of elementary school. This research is qualitative research with a case study type. Data was collected by conducting interviews and giving fraction test questions to students. The results of this research show that there are difficulties faced by students in working on the mathematics problems that have been given, namely (1) difficulty understanding the concept of fractions and difficulties; (2) difficulty in calculating; (3) students are still not careful in calculating. The factors that influence the occurrence of mathematics learning difficulties consist of internal factors, such as students' lack of motivation to learn mathematics, and external factors, namely the lack of teacher activity in learning. This can be a consideration for mathematics teachers to create more creative and fun learning in mathematics learning, especially in elementary school fraction material.
