Abstract

In this study aims to analyze the implementation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding, analyze implementation constraints and develop models of the implementation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding on maternal. This research uses a qualitative study, future research on starting December 2012 until July 2013.Informan research midwives and maternal. The research method uses observation, in-depth interviews and focus group disscusion. Researcher's own research instrument, checklist, interview guide and focus group guide disscusion. Descriptive analysis of the description, which includes the step of data collection, reduction and presentation of data. The results of observations on the direct maternal midwife directly by the command to hold her baby. Barriers that happens is tiredness and hunger. Results of in-depth interviews saying only pregnant women information about nutrition, information about the initiation of early breastfeeding mother knows only partially. Focus Group Results disscusion maternal expect information about early breastfeeding initiation given time pregnancy check and families may wait time of delivery. The observation of the midwife, seem hasty and not in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure is in the hospital. Results of in-depth interviews, all midwives could explain the steps to implement correctly. Barriers that happens is, a shortage of midwives. Focus Group Results disscusion all midwives said to be realized additional midwives. Early Initiation of Breastfeeding Early implementation is not in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure. Bottleneck that occurs in the maternal fatigue, hunger and ignorance about Early Initiation of Breastfeeding mom. Barriers on the midwife, a shortage of midwives so that the implementation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding was not optimal. Model development by involving husbands or families. Socialize hospital guidelines contained in the Standard Operational Procedure and facilities have used standard. Supervision and reminded all midwives to record activities Early Initiation of Breastfeeding.

Abstract

Early initiation of breastfeeding is the process of letting the baby with own instinct to suckle immediately within the first hour after birth. Early initiation of breastfeeding can help accelerate the expenditure mothers lactic and ensure continuity of expenditure mothers lactic. Because of this reason, the writer wants to know relationship between the initiation of early breastfeeding and acceleration of lactic produce in the mothers breastfeeding their babies aged 0-1month in the Work Area of public health centers at Kutorejo Mojokerto. Design of this study is Observational with case-control. The study had been conducted by 14 respondents of mothers breastfeeding their babies aged 0-1 month. The general data observed are age, occupation and education. The particular data are early breastfeeding initiation and acceleration of lactic. The results of study showed that mothers who initiate early breastfeeding smoothly amount 10 respondents (71,4%), and who initiate early breastfeeding unwell amount 2 respondents (14,3%). While, who don’t initiate early breastfeeding smoothly amount one respondent (7,1%), who don’t initiate early breastfeeding unwell amount one respondent (7,1%). The results of test of fisher exact with significant level 0,05, explain the results Ï value > 0,05, so the zero hypothesis (H0) is accepted and (H1) is rejected that means there is not relationship between early breastfeeding initiation with acceleration of lactic. It shows that succesfull early breastfeeding initiation can accelerate lactic production, the other factors that can be influenced the acceleration of lactic, are the frecuency of lactation, the condition of mothers must relax, the nutrition, giving an extra milk, and breast care. The benefits for the writer, education, institution, respondents, and the place of study are additional knowledge, giving information, improving knowledge, and giving nursing care in the implementation early breastfeeding initiation that can be accelerate the lactic production in the mothers
