Abstract

The coverage of MKJP preferences in Indonesia from 2009 to 2014 ranged from 12.60% to 25.37%. The percentage of new MKJP participants in 2014 is implant 10.65%, 7.15% IUD and MOW or MOP 1.71% (Ministry of Health RI, 2015). Based on data from Community Health Center of Tembilahan Hulu in 2016, the number of couples of reproductive agewere 7147 people, the number of active KB (birth control) participant were 5,469 people (76.5%) and those who did not use the contraception were 1,678 people (23.5%). There were 24 people (0.4%) of all active KB participants – who became MKJP participants. The aims of this study is to determine the factors that affect the low selection of MKJP contraceptives on EFA. The type of the research is an analytical survey with cross sectional design with a total sample of 71 respondents. The data gained through the questionnaire are analyzed by using chi square. The variables related to MKJP selection by EFA are age (sig = 0.001), education (sig = 0.015), and knowledge (sig = 0.001), while the parity variable has no significant relationship with p value 0.127. The younger the age, the lower education and the less knowledge of the respondents, the lower in the selection of MKJP method. It is recommended – for EFA who have more than 2 children – to use MKJP method because it is very effective for those who have medical contraindicates and non-medical.

Abstract

In 2013, the anemia prevalence of pregnant women in Indonesia was 37, 1%. Giving 90 Fe tablets to pregnant women at Tembilahan Hulu Health Center in 2016 was 57%, and at Auxiliary Health Center of Pulau Palas was 19%. This research aims at identifying the influence of giving of Fe tables with the guava juice towards the changes of hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women at the Auxiliary Health Center of Pulau Palas Tembilahan Hulu. This research is analytical quasi-experimental descriptive with non-randomized pretest and posttest with control group design. The population of the research is all pregnant women at the Auxiliary Health Center of Pulau Palas in 2016 (120 people), with a sample of 32 respondents and each group consists of 16 respondents. The sample was taken by accidental sampling. Data analysis was done by using Dependent T test. The results of the experimental group revealed the HB average of pregnant women before being given the Fe tablets with guava juice was 9,438 and after administration was 11,462 with a difference in the HB average of pregnant women after being given the Fe tablets with guava juice was 2,024 and p value 0,000. However, in the control group the HB average of pregnant women before being given Fe tablets was 9.825 and after administration was 9.775 with a difference in the average HB of pregnant women after being given Fe tablets was 0.05 with p value 0.765. It is recommended to health workers, the provision of KIE in normal pregnant women in general and especially in anemic pregnant women is to give KIE (consuming Fe tablets). Fe tablets can be consumed using guava juice which aims to maximize absorption so that the high risk of pregnant women can be prevented from the beginning of their pregnancy.

Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EIB)is placing the baby on his stomach on the mother's chest or abdomen so that the baby's skin is attached to the mother's skin, which is done at least one hour immediately after birth. The percentage of newborns who received EIB in 2016 was 51.9% which consisted of 42.7% getting an EIB in less than an hour after birth, and 9.2% in an hour or more. WHO data (2010) showed neonatal deaths occurred on the first day. Giving EIB and continuing with exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months can prevent infant death. Based on the initial survey in 2 Community Health Center (CHC), it was found that the implementation of EIB was only carried out for normal maternity mothers (92% and 29%). This study drives the analysis of factors that encourage the implementation of the early initiation of breastfeeding at CHC of Gajah Mada and Tembilahan Hulu in 2018. The techniques of collecting data was primarily open-ended questionnaire with interview. In analysing the data, the researcher used univariate and bivariate analysing technique to show that there were correlation among knowledge (p value = 0.011), attitude (p value = 0.030), training (p value = 0.030) and the implementation of EIB at CHC of Gajah Mada and Tembilahan Hulu in 2018. It highly expected that midwives are to maintain good performance in EIB implementation by participating in trainings that are related to EIB in the APN series, participating in the regulation socialization of EIB, and providing information about EIB to pregnant women and their families during ANC visits.

Abstract

Nifas is the period that begins after the placenta is born and ends when the uterine organs return to their pre-pregnancy state. In Indonesia, it is estimated that 60% of maternal deaths occur after delivery and 50% within the first 24 hours. Complete postpartum coverage in 2019 in INHIL Regency was 73.5%, while in the main sustainable clinic there were the highest normal postpartum mothers, amounting to 121 people. The purpose of this care is to provide midwifery care for postpartum mothers, Mrs. R P4A0H4 at the Main Lestari Clinic, Tembilahan 2019. The method in this care uses midwifery care management, Varney's line of thought and is documented in SOAP form. The results obtained during 3 visits, there is a gap between theory and practice in the first visit of postpartum given antibiotic therapy that is not in accordance with the needs of patients, In the second postpartum visit did not do nifas gymnastic and mothers who are 35 years old and have 4 children but do not want to use the Long-Term Contraceptive Method In third postpartum visit. The conclusion of this upbringing is that on the first visit to the third visit there is no problem in the provision of care but there is a gap between theory and practice. It is expected that the main sustainable clinic in the future will not provide antibiotic therapy if there is no indication because it can weaken the immune system, providing facilities and infrastructure for gymnastics and patients using the long term contraceptive method.
