Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil isolasi dan karakterisasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bakteri yang berhasil diisolasi dari isi usus halus ayam tersebut menunjukkan karakteristik sifat Gram positif, berbentuk batang (basil), dan termasuk dalam genus Lactobacillus sp. Oleh karena itu, bakteri asam laktat yang berhasil diisolasi dari ileum ayam kampung berpotensi sebagai agen probiotik. Kata kunci: ileum, bakteri asam laktat, pewarnaan, karakteristik, Lactobacillus sp. ABSTRACT Based on the results of the isolation and characterization that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the bacteria successfully isolated from the chicken's small intestine show characteristics of Gram-positive, rod-shaped (bacillus), and belong to the genus Lactobacillus sp. Therefore, the lactic acid bacteria isolated from the ileum of local chickens have the potential to be used as a probiotic agent.
