Abstract

The teacher's skill when opening a class greatly influences students' enthusiasm in the teaching and learning process. To receive knowledge in the classroom, educators must possess the skill of opening a class. Students have different characters in participating in learning, not all students are excited to take part in the learning process before class begins, and not all students are ready and concentrated to take part in the learning given by the teacher. Therefore in this article, To overcome this, the author will summarize the skills in opening classes that must be mastered by every teacher. This is so that students feel excited, ready, and play an active role during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Education is an important component that cannot be ignored, education leads people to better human resources. Education is a place where the character of students is formed. The more developed the times, it is fitting for students or youth to think critically towards superior human resources. as in Law No. 20 of the year concerning the national education system (article 12 paragraph 1) it is stated that education has formal, non-formal and informal channels. This research will focus on formal education and analyze the 2013 curriculum strategy for the formation of critical thinking and student character.
