Abstract

The teacher's lack of ability to create an active and student-centered learning process results in low student learning outcomes. This study aimed to find student learning outcomes after applying Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning to fifth-grade science subjects in elementary schools. This study used classroom action research with two cycles of four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 22 students of class V SDN 3 Pengkelak Mas. Data collection using multiple-choice tests amounted to 20 questions. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative descriptive analysis, namely data processing through average numbers and percentages, and using 5 category scales. The results showed that student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 67.95% which were in the medium category, in the second cycle they were 75.9% in the medium category and had achieved classical mastery. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes classically, so it is concluded that PjBL learning can improve science learning outcomes for SDN 3 Pengkelak Mas students.
