Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of commercial broiler chicken feces as mixing beef cattle feces to raw material organic fertilizer from organic material aspects of the content and determine the effect of fertilizer results fortification against the total production of fresh grass. The material used is beef cattle feces as much as 930 kg, the commercial broiler chicken feces 270 kg, 2.4 liter EM4. This research method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments (R), namely: R0: 100% beef cattle feces (50 kg), R1: beef cattle feces 85% (42.5 kg) of commercial broiler chicken feces + 15% (7.5 kg), R2: beef cattle feces 70% (35 kg) + commercial broiler chicken feces 30% (15 kg), R3: beef cattle feces 55% (27.5 kg) + commercial broiler chicken feces 45 ( 22.5 kg) with six replications. The results showed that the average content of organic material of R0, R1, R2, and R3, respectively 43 071% 34 075%, 27.815%, and 36 098%. Analysis of variance results showed that the average organic material are not using a commercial broiler chicken manure (R0) is higher than using each treatment compost. Results of the analysis showed uniform administration of composting grass effect is not significant (P> 0.05) on the production of fresh forage grass, presumably because it is not yet decomposed compost perfectly and the nutrient content of compost so low that has not quite provide additional nutrients needed by plants.

Abstract

Abstract

Broiler chickens are the result of a livestock breeding process that aims to obtain poultry commodities with good growth performance. Broiler chicken productivity is influenced by rations, seeds and maintenance management. The efficiency of the use of feed ingredients in the ration is a major factor in broiler farming business. BSF (black soldier fly) maggot flour has good potential and is supportive in this regard. The material used is 60 broilers aged 1 day using DOC Superchick. Completely randomized method with unidirectional pattern with 4 treatments, 5 replications, each replication consisted of 3 tails. This study calculates the amount of Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) using a manual system and using partner guidelines in determining the FCR number in calculating mortality is carried out every 24 hours. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding BSF (black soldier fly) maggot flour with different levels on the performance of broiler chickens in the starter phase. The results showed that there was no significant effect (P<0.05). The provision of BSF maggot flour with levels of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% in the ration did not significantly affect the parameters of ration consumption, body weight gain, mortality and water consumption. However, the greater the level of BSF maggot usage, all parameters numerically increased starting from 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% except for FCR which decreased in line with the addition of given maggot flour.

Abstract

One of the areas of business that is widely cultivated by the community is livestock, besides that, seen from the results of livestock business, which is easy to market and is a daily need for the community, eggs are eggs. Egg production and quality are indicators of the economic value of poultry farming. It is important to conduct research and research on duck egg quality and production to determine the genetic ability of ducks and to provide excellent quality food from livestock. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using maggot on changes in the quality of duck eggs. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) method which used 4 treatments and 5 replications, each treatment filled with 3 ducks. In this study feed rations used BSF maggot rations with different feedings in each treatment level (P0: 100% prepared feed, P1: 5% fresh maggot + 100% prepared feed, P2: 10% fresh maggot + 100% finished feed, P3: 15% fresh maggot + 100% finished feed) this research was conducted for 40 days and the first 10 days was the adaptation period of livestock to ad libitum feeding treatment. In the research data collection was carried out on days 38,39 and 40 in each treatment and replication. From the results of the study, it was found that there was no significant change in any research parameters (P>0.5), but the daily egg production quality and egg quality were very good and higher than previous studies.
