Abstract

The 2024 election is one of the hot topics discussed by Indonesian people from all walks of life. Not only limited to conversations among middle-aged people, this election has also become a hot issue in conversation among young people, especially students. The purpose of this study is to find out the purpose and impact of creating Islamic content by political figures according to the views of political students, to find out the perspectives of Political Science students on Islamic content from political figures on social media, and to find out what criteria need to be considered for a Muslim to choose a leader. A leader is defined as someone who is able to influence and persuade other parties to carry out orders or actions to achieve common goals. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and is implemented by conducting interviews with informants. Making Islamic content on social media by political figures is not always followed by a negative connotation because if the creation of Islamic content is not associated with political interests, it can be a quite relevant tool for Indonesian people, especially Muslims, to be able to understand Islamic topics presented through the medium. more casual. To choose a leader is not only seen from showing an image in a content along with an interesting topic, but also needs to be in accordance with the criteria for selecting a leader in Islam, therefore as a society we must be wise in receiving and obtaining information.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in enhancing the nation's intelligence, acquiring knowledge and information, improving societal welfare, and strengthening the nation's dignity. This community service is based on the implementation of the Program Penguatan Profesional Kepustakaan Non Kependidikan (P3KNK) of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Library and Information Science Study Program in 2024 at the SMKN 8 Bandung Library. This research focuses on problems that occur in the SMKN 8 Bandung environment, particularly those that intersect with aspects of literacy and the utilization of the SMKN 8 Bandung school library. The methods used in this research are tailored to the needs, including both direct and indirect survey activities, program socialization, program implementation through coordination, cooperation, and periodic evaluation, as well as the final seminar, which serves as a reporting and overall program evaluation mechanism. From this research, it is known that the issues faced by the SMKN 8 Bandung Library can be overcome through strengthening and optimizing library functions consisting of several programs and activities such as optimizing ICT in the library, utilizing circulation services, information literacy and search, and library promotion to class literacy journal activities as an effort to foster interest in literacy and develop reading habits in the school environment.   Abstrak Pendidikan memiliki peran yang krusial dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan atau informasi, meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, serta memperkokoh martabat bangsa. Pengabdian ini didasarkan pada pelaksanaan Program Penguatan Profesional Kepustakaan Non Kependidikan (P3KNK) Program Studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi UPI tahun 2024 di Perpustakaan SMKN 8 Bandung. Pengabdian ini berfokus pada permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan SMKN 8 Bandung khususnya pada masalah yang bersinggungan dengan aspek literasi dan pemanfaatan keberadaan perpustakaan sekolah SMKN 8 Bandung. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, program yang diimplementasikan meliputi tiga kegiatan utama yakni optimalisasi TIK perpustakaan, penguatan pelayanan perpustakaan, dan kegiatan jurnal literasi kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang dimulai dari kegiatan survei langsung dan tidak langsung, sosialisasi program, pelaksanaan program dalam bentuk koordinasi, kerja sama, dan evaluasi berkala, hingga pelaksanaan seminar akhir sebagai bentuk pelaporan dan evaluasi program secara menyeluruh. Dari pengabdian ini, diketahui bahwa permasalahan yang dimiliki oleh Perpustakaan SMKN 8 Bandung dapat diatasi lewat kegiatan penguatan dan optimalisasi fungsi perpustakaan yang terdiri dari beberapa program serta kegiatan seperti optimalisasi TIK di perpustakaan, pemanfaatan layanan sirkulasi, literasi dan penelusuran informasi, serta promosi perpustakaan hingga kegiatan jurnal literasi kelas sebagai upaya penumbuhan minat literasi dan penumbuhan kebiasaan membaca di lingkungan sekolah. Abstract

Program Penguatan Profesional Kepustakaan Non Kependidikan (P3KNK) is a practice-based community service initiative that enhances students’ professional competencies through direct experience in an academic library. The program was conducted at Telkom University Open Library over 40 working days (November 18, 2024–January 24, 2025) and involved three students from the Library and Information Science study program. The program employed a structured rotation system across three service areas: circulation services (17 days), reference services (13 days), and library material processing (10 days). The methods included hands-on practice, participatory observation, guided discussions, and continuous mentoring by professional librarians. The results demonstrate that the students made tangible contributions to library operations, including processing 204 scholarly documents for e-proceedings, handling 51 library clearance letters, cataloging 83 e-books, and processing 61 donated collections. The program also significantly enhanced students’ technical skills (cataloging, classification, and library technologies) as well as soft skills (communication, problem-solving, and professionalism). In addition, six key operational challenges were identified, along with proposed solutions to improve service. Overall, the P3KNK program effectively bridges academic theory and professional librarianship practice.   Abstrak Program Penguatan Profesional Kepustakaan Non Kependidikan (P3KNK) merupakan kegiatan pengabdian berbasis praktik yang bertujuan memperkuat kompetensi profesional mahasiswa kepustakawanan melalui pengalaman kerja langsung di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Program ini dilaksanakan di Telkom University Open Library selama 40 hari kerja (18 November 2024–24 Januari 2025) dengan melibatkan tiga mahasiswa Program Studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi. Pelaksanaan program menggunakan sistem rotasi terstruktur pada tiga area layanan, yaitu layanan sirkulasi (17 hari), layanan referensi (13 hari), dan pengolahan bahan pustaka (10 hari), dengan metode praktik langsung, observasi partisipatif, diskusi terpandu, dan pendampingan pustakawan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan kontribusi nyata mahasiswa terhadap operasional perpustakaan, antara lain pengolahan 204 dokumen e-prosiding, pelayanan 51 Surat Bebas Kewajiban Perpustakaan, katalogisasi 83 e-book, dan pengolahan 61 koleksi sumbangan. Program ini juga meningkatkan kompetensi teknis (katalogisasi, klasifikasi, dan pemanfaatan teknologi perpustakaan) serta kompetensi non-teknis (komunikasi, pemecahan masalah, dan profesionalisme). Selain itu, teridentifikasi enam permasalahan operasional utama beserta alternatif solusi sebagai bahan perbaikan layanan. Secara keseluruhan, P3KNK efektif menjembatani teori akademik dan praktik profesional kepustakawanan. Kata Kunci: P3KNK; pengabdian berbasis praktik; perpustakaan perguruan tinggi; praktik profesional
