Abstract

The research article aims to identify the adaptive behavior of students at the Indonesian University of Education when they are overseas and to find indications of religiosity at the Indonesian University of Education and its influence on students' adaptive behavior. Being abroad brings many changes to students at the Indonesian University of Education, especially the changes within themselves. These changes are a form of student adaptation to new environments and situations. The Indonesian University of Education is also known as a religious campus, where the environment is considered quite Islamic. With that, it is necessary to identify whether there is influence from the religious campus environment on students' adaptive behavior. This study used survey research methods and data collection techniques with mixed questionnaires, a combination of open and closed questionnaires. The target of this research is University of Education students who come from outside the Bandung and Jabodetabek areas. The results of the study show that students' adaptive behavior can be seen in several aspects of the respondents such as time management, language adaptation, social adaptation, adaptation to rules that apply in new environments, and changes in patterns of religious activity.

Abstract

The information needs of the community continue to grow increasingly complex. As an institution providing information services, the library is essential in fulfilling the community's information needs. This article results from the P3NK activity at the SMK Negeri 1 Bandung Library for 40 working days. P3NK aims to provide additional human resources at the SMK Negeri 1 Bandung Library to improve the quality of library services by implementing programs relevant to user needs. During the implementation of P3NK, students are allowed to execute the theories obtained during lectures by implementing various programs in the library, ranging from circulation services, youth information services, collection development, collection alignment, preservation of library materials, to library promotion. This article is compiled using a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data obtained are the results of P3NK activities, which are empirical because they are obtained directly from observations in the field. The results show that most library programs can be implemented well within the specified working period, one of the programs that has a good impact on the effectiveness of library services is the alignment of collections that are adjusted to the information behavior of library users and library promotion that adapts to the information needs of library users. Difficulties are still encountered during the process, but these can be overcome with other alternatives.    Abstrak Kebutuhan informasi masyarakat terus berkembang menjadi semakin kompleks. Abstract

Maintaining the relevance and quality of collections in a vocational library is critical given the rapid evolution of industry standards. This study describes the systematic collection revitalization process at the Poltekpar NHI Bandung Library, carried out through weeding and stock-taking activities. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach based on an intensive 40-day Program Penguatan Pengalaman Profesional Non-Kependidikan (P3NK), the revitalization followed strict criteria, including physical condition, usage frequency, and a 10-year currency rule, to ensure alignment with the needs of the tourism and hospitality industry. The weeding process identified 612 copies for removal, with the highest concentration in the 600 class (applied sciences). Following the wedding, a comprehensive stock opname revealed a physical count of 14,479 copies. Data synchronization between physical findings and the integrated library database (website) identified a discrepancy of 615 copies. Challenges such as technical inaccuracies in security systems and suboptimal procurement processes influenced the decision-making during the weeding stage. This study underscores that systematic collection maintenance is essential for vocational libraries to provide up-to-date resources and improve overall service efficiency.
