Abstract

This research report discusses how to create a system for monitoring temperature and humidity in a data center and remotely controlling a relay. The research report titled "Design and Implementation of a Simulation System for Monitoring Temperature and Humidity in a Data Center Based on Internet of Things (IoT)" can be used for monitoring using a Web Interface. A MYSQL database is utilized to store data for displaying the monitoring screen and controlling relays, which can be accessed through users' mobile phones or computers. The main function of this system is to control the temperature and humidity in the data center and operate remote control relays from accessible sites. The main components used to create this system include the ESP8266 Wemos D1 Mini as the main control unit of the system, which can directly connect to the internet via WiFi connection. The system also incorporates a DHT11 sensor and a 4-channel 5VDC relay module.

Abstract

The attendance system or attendance recording is a separate problem in terms of practicality, especially if the attendance process is still done manually. One of the technological advancements is the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. The RFID system is widely used as a security system device. This tool is designed by combining microcontroller work with RFID technology in a system. Data in the form of a unique code from an RFID tag is used as student data. Apart from being used as a media attendance device, RFID is added to its function as an automatic classroom access open device so that when students take attendance, the classroom door lock opens too which makes it easier for students and the campus. And also this tool is combined with the ESP-32 CAM camera module which is modified so that it can read a QR code containing student data in the form of numbers, even though the code reading speed is not as fast as a scanner but it can still function the same this will make it even easier when students take attendance when you forget to bring your attendance card.

Abstract

This research aims to overcome the problems that arise in identifying Betta fish variants, especially Albino variants, which are often difficult to distinguish by ordinary people due to difficulties in distinguishing visual differences. This problem encourages the need to develop a tool that is able to automatically distinguish Betta Albino fish variants. This research presents the concept of implementing the ESP32-Cam platform as a Betta Albino fish variant detection tool. The novelty of this research lies in the use of the ESP32-Cam platform which is an innovation as a detection tool. The urgency of this research lies in the need for a tool that can help ordinary people in identifying Betta Albino fish variants easily without requiring knowledge of Betta fish species. The method used in this research is colour-based detection using the eloquent surveillance library. The image capture process is done through an ESP32-Cam camera by utilising the concept of object detection and image processing. This research also involves the application of components such as TCS 3200, LM393, and LCD 1602 I2C to support the function of the detection tool. The results show that the Betta Albino fish variant object detection device is able to identify colour differences accurately. Through the ESP32-Cam platform, this tool successfully creates an automated solution that can distinguish Betta Albino fish variants well. In conclusion, this study confirms that the use of the ESP32-Cam platform in designing the Betta Albino fish variant detection tool can be practically applied. This tool has the potential to contribute in facilitating the accurate identification of Betta Albino fish variants to the general public.

Abstract

Musala Baiturrohmah, located in Gang Haji Nawi, Jatimakmur Village, Pondok Gede District, Bekasi City, was initially a privately owned prayer facility. Over time, it has expanded to accommodate various community activities, serving not only as a place of worship but also for educational and social functions. Recognizing the need to enhance its facilities, the owner decided to renovate the Musala to include additional functional spaces and improve the surrounding environment. To achieve this, the owner collaborated with the Architecture Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Karno University. This partnership involved permanent lecturers, students, and alumni in forming a Community Service Team. The team undertook stages of field exploration, surveying, studying, design transformation, and reporting. Two design alternatives were developed for the Musala building, offering options that cater to the needs of both the owner and the local community.

Abstract

Air pollution on roads and indoors has a bad impact on human health, Since air pollution may lead to a number of illnesses, a device that is useful to track this quality of this air utilizing Arduino, MQ2 sensor, DHT11 sensor and MQ135 sensor as well as the Blynk program, a tool designed to facilitate our ability to see from our cell phones. This test used 3 experiments using lighter gas, perfume and burnt smoke with each value on the resulting gas sensor being different. For pre- trials on lighter gas and perfume when conducting experiments, these two experiments can activate the buzzer with an average value on the mq135 and mq2 sensors of 60-200 ppm. For smoke that is burned, the buzzer is not activated because the gas level received is below 10 ppm.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a tropical country, possesses enormous potential for solar energy as a renewable alternative source. As an archipelagic nation, many remote villages still lack reliable electricity supply, necessitating the development and utilization of natural alternative energy sources, particularly Solar Power Plants. Currently, the majority of PLTS installations are static, with surfaces facing the sky at fixed angles, achieving an average efficiency of up to 15%. One effective method to boost PLTS efficiency is implementing dual-axis solar trackers, enabling panels to dynamically follow direct sunlight for maximum light input and up to 32% power output gains compared to static systems. This innovation ensures panels remain perpendicular to the sun continuously, stabilizing sunlight absorption, while IoT integration via the Blynk application facilitates real-time remote monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate an automatic stair lighting system based on the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller utilizing infrared sensors to detect user movement on ascending and descending stairways. The system is equipped with LED lights, an audio module, and an LCD to display operational status and provide warnings when users take the wrong stair path. The research method employs a prototype approach consisting of hardware design, software development, system integration, and functional testing. The tests were conducted on sensor detection performance, lighting activation response, audio notification, LCD display performance, and system operation in both manual and automatic modes. The results show that the infrared sensors are able to distinguish detected and undetected object conditions based on changes in output voltage levels, enabling the lights to turn on according to user movement on active steps. The system is also capable of generating voice warnings for incorrect path usage and displaying real-time system information. In general, the developed prototype operates according to the intended design and has the potential to improve safety, convenience, and lighting efficiency in stair areas.
