Abstract

The best food for babies aged 0-6 months is breast milk. Formula milk is only given to babies if there is a medical indication, it must be with a doctor's recommendation regarding the need for a type of formula that is adapted to the baby's condition. Giving formula milk too early can increase the risk of allergies, digestive tract disorders, obesity and others. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the use of formula milk in infants 0-6 months in the District of Ciracas, East Jakarta. The research design is a quantitative analytic study with a Cross Sectional approach. The sample in this study were mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months totaling 52 people. Sampling using Accidental Sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Chi square test. The instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that of the 52 respondents 31 (59.6%), mothers used infant formula, 29 (55.8%) had poor knowledge, 36 (69.2%) had negative attitudes, 34 (65.4%) had less husband support, 34 (65.4%) and 33 (63.5%) mothers were affected by the promotion of formula milk. The results of the chi square analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge, attitude, husband's support, and promotion of formula milk with the use of formula milk in infants. The conclusion of the study was that the most influential factor on the use of formula milk in infants 0-6 months was knowledge (OR = 64.125).

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is associated with maternal morbidity and an indirect cause of maternal mortality in the entire population of pregnant women. In this Covid-19 pandemic situation, there are many restrictions to almost all public services including maternal and neonatal health services, thereby increasing the risk of an increase in anemia among pregnant women. The aims of study to determine the prevention of anemia for pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic at midwife’s private practice in susukan sub-district area, east jakarta. The design of this research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross sectional approach. Samples were 100 pregnant women. Sampling used Accidental Sampling technique. The instrument used was a valid and reliable questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi square test. Out of 100 pregnant women, 57% had good anemia prevention efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, 58% lacked diet, 57% lacked family support and 77% of pregnant women were less obedient to taking tablets Fe. The results of the Chi square test showed that there was a significant relationship between diet, family support, compliance with Fe tablet consumption with efforts to prevent anemia of pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic. The factor that most influences the prevention of anemia during the Covid-19 pandemic is family support (OR = 4,538).

Abstract

The impact of the lack of knowledge of adolescents on reproductive health is that many adolescents are already sexually active. The purpose of this study was to find out how big the influence of counseling on reproductive health is on changes in adolescent knowledge in Susukan Village, East Jakarta in 2023. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research with a one group pre test and post test design carried out in one group only without a comparison group aims to see the Effect of Counseling About Reproductive Health on Adolescent Knowledge. The sample in this study amounted to 95 students. The research instrument used a questionnaire filled out by teenagers. The independent variable in this study that was studied was the knowledge of adolescents. The results showed that of the 95 adolescents who attended counseling about reproductive health, prior to counseling it was shown that the frequency of knowledge about adolescent reproductive health was mostly low, namely 54 respondents (56.8%) and the remaining 41 respondents who had high knowledge. And after counseling the results were obtained, out of 95 respondents there were 87 respondents who had good knowledge (91.6%) and the remaining 8 respondents (8.4%) had low knowledge. The results of the Mc.Nemar test showed that before and after counseling interventions were carried out on adolescent reproductive health with the test results obtained that there were significant differences in adolescent knowledge with a p value of 0.000 where <0.05. The conclusion from this study was that the knowledge of adolescents prior to health education about reproductive health was lacking, with the number of respondents 95 being 72.78%. The effectiveness of health counseling using the lecture method and also presentation of power points towards increasing reproductive health knowledge in adolescents is 79.73.

Abstract

The low achievement of the target of acetic acid visual inspection (IVA) shows that women of childbearing age (WUS) still receive little education about cervical cancer. The use of pocket book media has not shown the results of achieving the IVA examination target. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of educational videos on early detection of cervical cancer on WUS's motivation to conduct IVA examinations in the Susukan area, East Jakarta. The research method used is quasi-experimental, carried out from May to June 2023 in the Susukan area of East Jakarta. The size of the research sample was 30 subjects obtained from the Lameshow formula. Interest scores before and after the provision of cervical cancer animation education were measured using a questionnaire of 20 questions. Data analysis using paired T test. The results showed that providing educational videos for early detection of cervical cancer increased WUS motivation in IVA examination (p = 0.007). Increased motivation score by 6.37. Cervical cancer education using animated videos can be used by midwives in increasing WUS interest in IVA examination. Educational videos on early detection of cervical cancer are more efficiently accepted by the public than pocket books.

Abstract

The use of contraception aims to fulfill everyone's reproductive rights, by helping to plan when and how many children they want and prevent unwanted pregnancies. The proper use of contraceptives can also reduce the risk of maternal and infant mortality. This study aims to determine the relationship between socio-demographic factors and contraceptive selection. The design of this study is quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. The sample in this study was all women of childbearing age who were sexually active, sampling using the purposive sampling technique totaled 99 people. Data were obtained by interviews using questionnaires. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age (p=0.022) and education level (p=0.015) and there was no relationship between occupation (p=0.167) and long-term contraceptive selection. Health service institutions must further improve the quality of counseling and long-term contraceptive services, so that they can attract the interest of the public in particular
