Abstract

School libraries generally aim to provide information services on borrowing and returning books to students and teachers. The library of Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School has a large collection of books, both in the form of textbooks, collections of questions, magazines and newspapers. However, this library has not been well managed because all activities still use manual methods and do not have good documentation. This can be seen from the way students experience difficulties when looking for the desired book, then the process of recording borrowing and returning books that are still manual so that it takes a long time and the data storage is not guaranteed, the number of scattered records that confuse officers when matching data to make reports, because it is only stored in the form of ordinary archives that are easily lost. Therefore, a web-based library information system is needed at Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School. The Library Information System of SMP Pasundan 7 Bandung aims to assist library staff in minimizing service time with the help of computerized transactions, especially in book loan and return transactions. In designing an information system, all data related to the library is stored in a file warehouse called a database. To produce a good and correct database, it is necessary to carry out system design stages. The goal is to produce good data input. This Final Project discusses the design of creating a web-based information system, which can assist library staff in the process of delivering library information at Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School. This research focuses on designing a library information system in a school environment. The purpose of this research is to change the pattern of conventional services into computerization to facilitate data management in book borrowing and returning transactions in preventing data loss. The research method used is descriptive analysis method, which is a research method that tries to describe the object or subject under study objectively, and aims to describe the facts systematically and the characteristics of the object and the frequency studied precisely. Information system design is built using the waterfall method. Or through sequential stages in the hope of producing a design that is in accordance with the existing target needs. Data collection methods by means of interviews and direct observation. The results showed that using a computerized system is much more effective than the conventional way and even more efficient. The effectiveness of implementing a web-based Library Information System at Pasundan 7 Bandung Junior High School can be seen from the service process carried out.

Abstract

A vocational high school in Bandung is dedicated to cultivating competitive and employable graduates.  Nonetheless, the institution faces challenges in conducting comprehensive assessments of pupils' academic data to identify their strengths and weaknesses.  Currently, data analysis relies on basic descriptive methodologies, which often fail to yield adequate insights for informed strategic decision-making.  Furthermore, there is a lack of interactive visualization tools to enhance the presentation of student grouping data. This study aims to address these concerns by utilizing the K-Means algorithm to categorize pupils based on their academic performance.  This classification yields three clusters that delineate students' attributes in high, medium, and low score categories.  The evaluation results indicate that the model comprising three clusters has the highest Silhouette Score of 0.3364.  This research generates an interactive website as a visualisation tool to display the outcomes of student grouping correctly. The implementation of this method is anticipated to enhance the school's management of academic data and deliver tailored learning recommendations that more effectively address the needs of students within each cluster.  Therefore, the educational quality of this vocational high school in Bandung can be markedly enhanced.

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology has enhanced the efficiency of all forms of information communication. Using two-dimensional barcodes enables the linkage between the virtual realm and the physical world, with the QR code being the most prevalent type of two-dimensional barcode. Each year, there have been significant advancements in information technology. Asset items are present in each laboratory or room of a school in Bandung. Evidence gathered at this educational institution suggests that the administration of inventory data could be more efficient. The school administrators affirm that they continue to rely on human data entry. Moreover, manual data entry is considered inefficient, and data processing tends to be sluggish. The data in question refers to the information regarding the assets. The Asset Validation application is developed utilizing the SDLC (System et al.) methodology and UML (Unified et al.) for design. The utilized programming language is PHP, or Hypertext Preprocessor, in conjunction with a MySQL database. When the URL is executed in a web browser, the system provides a description of the URL, compares it with the database, and subsequently presents it in the web browser. The outcome of the Asset Validation application is a QR code utilized to store the URL, signifying the precision of the asset item. This study also conducted a performance comparison with three analogous apps. These three comparison programs were selected based on their similar visual QR code output, although their scanning outcomes differ due to distinct features.
