Abstract

The Unmer Malang Digital Library application, an online platform established on December 14, 2023, has not yet been reviewed from a user satisfaction perspective since its inception. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction with the application and test related hypotheses. Utilizing the End User Computing Satisfaction method and the Accidental Sampling technique for data collection, the results indicate that users are generally satisfied with the platform. Scores for various variables were: content at 3.89, accuracy at 4.15, layout averaging 4.06, ease of use at 4.11, and timeliness averaging 4. The study's hypothesis suggests that accuracy, format, and timeliness significantly affect user satisfaction, whereas content and ease of use do not have a notable impact.

Abstract

E-Health, a public service that leverages Information Technology to enhance the health sector's knowledge base, faces developmental challenges. At Gading Health Center in Surabaya City, dissatisfied assessments of the health center's rating stem from discontent with both services and the e-Health system. Issues include disparities in service time compared to the targeted e-Health Service System queue, as well as variations between online registration times and the actual services provided at the health center. Moreover, human resource factors such as knowledge, experience, and technological skills among Gading Community Health Center staff significantly influence the successful implementation of the e-Health system. This study employs e-GovQual and IPA methods to evaluate the effectiveness of e-Government Implementation, focusing on dimensions like efficiency, trust, reliability, and citizen support. The research findings, analyzing the effectiveness of e-Health at Puskesmas Gading using e-GovQual and IPA methods, lead to the conclusion that the implementation of e-Health at Puskesmas Gading in Surabaya City positively impacts the quality of health services

Abstract

Digital transformation is increasingly essential for improving operational efficiency and data accuracy in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, MSMEs often face a dual challenge: the need for rapid system implementation and the limited technical literacy of system users, which creates a gap between complex system requirements and practical usability. This study applies and evaluates the effectiveness of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology in developing a web-based Point of Sale (POS) system tailored to MSME operational characteristics. The research adopts an applied, design-oriented approach, emphasizing iterative prototyping and continuous user involvement to reduce adoption barriers. Rather than focusing on feature completeness, the study examines how RAD supports system usability and user acceptance among non-technical users. The proposed system was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving users with different operational roles. The results indicate that the iterative nature of RAD effectively bridges the gap between system complexity and user capability, as reflected by an average SUS score of 76.66, categorized as “Good”. These findings provide empirical evidence that RAD is a suitable development approach for MSME information systems, particularly in contexts requiring rapid deployment and high usability, and contribute to applied information systems research by highlighting the role of user-centered iteration in improving system acceptance.

Abstract

This study presents the design and development of an integrated ordering and sales analysis system for Kaluna Living, a micro-enterprise specializing in handcrafted ceramic home goods. Prior to the system development, business operations relied on manual workflows for recording orders, processing custom product requests, and preparing monthly sales reports. These procedures resulted in slow transaction handling, higher risk of inconsistent data, and limited business visibility. The system was developed using the SDLC Prototyping model to enable iterative refinement through continuous user feedback. To evaluate usability, the System Usability Scale (SUS) was applied to representative user roles (customer, admin, and owner). The evaluation yielded an average SUS score of 81.66, which falls into the Excellent (Above Average) usability category, indicating that the system is perceived as easy to use, consistent, and learnable. The system supports centralized ordering workflows, custom request handling with image upload, and sales insight visualization that summarizes monthly revenue and order volume. The findings suggest that iterative prototyping contributes to usability improvements by refining navigation flow, clarifying form structures, and supporting streamlined operational workflows. This research contributes to applied system development for micro-enterprises by demonstrating how integrated digital ordering and analytics can improve operational efficiency and decision support in handcrafted product businesses.

Abstract

User-centered design (UCD) has become essential in enterprise information system development. However, systematic and quantitatively validated usability assurance methods during the design phase remain underutilized. This study proposes and empirically validates a quantitative integration framework combining Heuristic Evaluation (HE) and Cognitive Walkthrough (CW) for enterprise usability assurance. A high-fidelity interactive enterprise dashboard prototype developed in Figma was evaluated by five expert reviewers using Nielsen’s ten heuristics and seven task-based walkthrough scenarios. After normalization and deduplication, the integrated approach identified 68 unique usability issues. HE contributed 42 issues, while CW identified 31 issues, with 39.7% overlapping findings. The proposed integration achieved a 61.9% coverage improvement compared to the best single method. Severity analysis revealed a Mean Severity Index of 2.24 and a Weighted Severity Score of 94 (HE) and 70 (CW), indicating moderate-to-high usability risk. Inter-rater reliability measured using Fleiss’ Kappa yielded κ = 0.78, demonstrating substantial agreement among evaluators. Additionally, the detection efficiency reached 2.47 issues per person-hour, supporting the framework’s practical feasibility. The findings demonstrate that the proposed integration framework enhances usability detection coverage, maintains high evaluation consistency, and provides a cost-effective approach for early-stage enterprise system design assurance.
