Abstract

ABSTRACT  Height of new children entered primary school can explaine the growth of the previous age which strongly associated with health and nutritional history of the past, while the weight loss associated with nutritional status conditions in the present. The objective of this study was to analyze the new children's height and weight  as early detection of nutritional disorders in school children. This research was explanatory survey with crosssectional approach. Observed variables include height and weight of children  and interpretation of achievement based on the percent of the median, the height for age index, the weight for age index and Bassal Metabolism Index.  The samples are all new children entered school in SDN 1Karangklesem,  numbered of 27 people. The analysis showed an average height attainment of male students is 96.2% of the WHO standard median and 95.1% female students, while achieving an average weight of male students was 93.3% of the median standard WHO and women 78.6%. Based on height for age index,  the nutritional disorder most commonly found is stunted as much as 29.6%, 22,2 % malnutrition by weight for age index and  29,6 % wasted by BMI.  Suggestion to monitor the nutritional status of children  regularly as  malnutrition. Abstract

ABSTRACT Anemia is one of the major nutritional problem in Indonesia. Anemia is a condition in which the levels of hemoglobin (Hb) in the blood less than normal, normal levels for pregnant women was 11.0 g%. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Penusupan  health center Tegal District. This type of research is explanatory research with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 65 respondents. Results showed the majority of pregnant women (61.5%) had anemia. The results of bivariate analysis showed that factors affecting the incidence of anemia among pregnant women is gestational age (p = 0.007), and iron consumption rate (0.000), while the variables that influence the variable level of knowledge to the value of p <0.029 (p <0.05) and the level of iron consumption with the p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Advice for pregnant women should alter the pattern of consumption of tea or coffee drinks that can inhibit the absorption of iron by replacing materials consumed a drink containing vitamin C so it can accelerate the process of iron absorption. Abstract

ABSTRACT KADARZI is a family that is able to identify nutritional problem and is able to prevent and address the nutritional problems of each family member (Ministry Of Health,2004). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of education and knowledge level of mothers with nutrition conscious family behavior (KADARZI) in urban and rural communities Banyumas district. This study is a secondary data analysis of KADARZI survey in 2009 conducted by the District Health Office Banyumas using cross sectional design. The sample is part of the Head of the Family in East Purwokerto District and Kembaran District with a total number of households was 600 taken with Cluster Random Sampling method. Data analysis was done using univariate and bivariate with chi square test. From the analysis on the results : majority of households (69.7%) ,low nutritional knowledge (54.7%) and has KADARZI behavior that is still less  (68.7%). While the majority of respondens in urban areas (56.3%) have high educated level (51.3%) and has KADARZI behavior that is still less (66 %). There is a relationship between education and knowledge with KADARZI behavior in rural areas represented by Kembaran I district. There was no correlation between education with KADARZI behavior in urban areas are represented by East Purwokerto. There is relationship between education and behavior KADARZI in East Purwokerto. Needs to be increased active participation of families in various health service activities such as regular weighing under five every month, actively participates in outreach activities Keywords : KADARZI, rural,urban  Kesmasindo.
