Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning product in the form of kinemaster-based audio-visual media as teaching material for fifth grade students in social studies on the subject of struggle against invaders to improve student learning outcomes. The method used is the development research (R&D) method, up to the testing stage of the effectiveness of the products that have been developed. To determine the feasibility of material and media, validity tests have been carried out by material and media experts. The results of product validity by two experts obtained very feasible category. Material experts obtained a value of 88.6% and media experts obtained a value of 87.5%. To find out the effectiveness of the media on subject matter, a field trial was carried out at SD Negeri Montor 1. The results of the field trial for student responses to the media obtained 95.6% in the very feasible category and student learning outcomes obtained an average score of 83.3%, the test results of the teacher's response to the media obtained 89.2%. Based on the results of the analysis of two experts and trials on students and teachers, the audio-visual media meets the criteria to be used as a learning medium for Social Sciences (IPS).

Abstract

Learning in early childhood requires innovative learning media to optimize its development, especially in the language aspect. The use of media in learning is considered effective and can create a pleasant learning atmosphere so as to increase children's interest in learning. This study aims to develop interactive learning multimedia, determine the feasibility, effectiveness, and responses of students to interactive learning multimedia. This type of research is the development research (R&D) of the ADDIE reference model. Methods of data collection using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were obtained from media experts, material experts, field practitioners and students. The instruments used are questionnaires and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative analysis. Research results: The validity test according to media experts, material experts and field practitioners obtained an average score of 87.4% with very good qualifications. The effectiveness of the control and experimental class post-test scores with sig 0.000 <0.05, there is a difference between the control and experimental class post-test results and the student response of 85.1% with very good qualifications. Based on the results of the research that the development of interactive learning multimedia is very feasible to use in the language aspect, especially the speaking ability of early childhood. The implication of this research is that this interactive learning multimedia product can be a solution to existing problems, which can be used in learning to stimulate the speaking ability of children aged 5-6 years and can make learning more varied.

Abstract

Science training in early childhood education has attracted the attention of many researchers. Although the new early childhood curriculum in Indonesia does not include specific curriculum objectives for science lessons, science is integrated into the curriculum through a “scientific approach”. There are not many articles on this topic in the media. Some articles mention the importance of this approach, while others try to find the best model to implement this approach. However, only a few articles discuss the application of this approach in depth. Therefore, this research article discusses the results of a scientific approach in three PAUD schools. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research results show that the use of time, the number of questions given and the teacher's questions are three important factors that influence the quality of implementing the scientific approach
