Abstract

On the water distribution, the connection of pipe bends is typically obtained either in industry or in housing. On the water distribution, it is often gained the lost of energy or head losses. The amount of head losses occurring in the connection of branch pipe is influenced by several factors, such as: diameter, flow, viscosity, and the angle at the bend pipe connections.This study aimed to determine the effect of variation of the connection point of the bend pipe to the head losses and pressure drop. To do it, the researcher uses an experimental method as a tool by varying the bend angle is 30o, 45o, 60o, and 90o. The result shows that head losses and the small pressure drop occur in the bend angle 30o is 73, 23 mm and 907.606 N/m2. While the head losses and pressure drop is the greatest at an angle of 90o, is 74, 80 mm and 1278,899 N/m2.

Abstract

The wind turbine is a device that converts wind energy into mechanical energy and then converted into electrical energy through a generator. Horizontal axis wind turbines can increase the efficiency to get the maximum power coefficient. One was using the blade numerous. Maximum efisiensi system will increase the number of watts (power) generated so as to obtain a certain number of watts by simply using the number of windmills lessThe object of this research is the performance testing horizontal axis wind turbine with wind speed variation and variation in terms of the number of blade Efisiensi system (???? )  and Tip Speed Ratio (TSR). Research conducted with the wind coming from the source to the Wind Tunnel fan to direct wind. Wind speed is used there are three variations of the 3 m/s, 3.5 m/s, and 4 m/s and varying the amount of blade that is 3, 4, 5 and 6 blade.The results showed that the best ????  values obtained at a maximum wind speed of 4 m / s and the number of blade 5 with a value of 3.07% ????, whereas ???? smallest value obtained at wind speeds of 3 m/s and the number of blade 3 that the value of 0.05% ????. For TSR maximum value at a maximum speed of 4 m/s occurred in the number of blade 5 is equal to λ = 2.11, while the lowest value at wind speeds of 3 m/s resulting in blade number 3 is equal to λ = 1.49.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan kertas bekas sebagai fanel pengganti kayu, perlu dilakukan program pelatihan yang disertai pendampingan kepada masyarakat sehingga masyarakat dapat langsung mengaplikasikannya dengan hasil yang bagus. Program ini perlu dilakukan untuk menambah penghasilan, masyarakat nelayan yang berada di Pantai Ampenan selatan melalui aktifitas yang produktif, disaat tidak melaut. Program ini dilaksanakan di The Griya Lombok yang merupakan UKM yang sudah berpengalaman dan sangat terkenal di Indonesia dalam mengolah kertas bekas menjadi berbagai macam produk. Metode yang digunakan pada program ini yaitu pelatihan, praktek langsung, pendampingan dan diskusi kelompok (FGD) yang terarah sehingga peserta bisa mengaplikasikan metode daur ulang kertas menjadi fanel pengganti kayu secara langsung dilapangan,. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan juga evaluasi melalui quisioner skala likert untuk mengetahui % tingkat pemahaman masyarakat nelayan terhadap 4 variabel yang dinilai . Hasil dari program ini yaitu, kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan sangat baik, pemahaman terhadap 4 variabel yang dinilai, semuanya mengalami peningkatan dan menghasilkan rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman yang sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 98.96 %. Peningkatan pemahaman yang tertinggi adalah pada variable keterampilan dalam pembuatan produk dari limbah kertas (PPK) sebesar 125.00 %, dan yang terendah adalah pada variable Pemahaman limbah kertas bisa bernilai ekonomi (KPE) yaitu 70.83%.
