Abstract

The attainment of education in Indonesia is low. It can be seen from the measurement results of PISA 2013, which measures the ability of Mathematics, Reading, and Science for students in Junior High School education age. Meanwhile, in 2014 the implementation of Curriculum 2013 will be implemented 100% in class VII and VIII. How is the readiness of Junior High School teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science regarding to the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in 2014? This study aimed to describe the understanding of junior high school teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science to the 2013 curriculum, an innovative learning process, as well as authentic assessment in Semarang city. The study was designed as a descriptive study with a sample of teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science (public and private) in the Semarang taken proportionally based on the accreditation status of A, B, and C. The statistical analysis that will be used is simple statistic equipped with the descriptive analysis of narrative. Research steps to be carried out are: sampling, research instruments development, data collection, data analysis, and results. The results indicated an understanding of 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers. It showed good result (score 3.7), understanding of the innovative learning process in using 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers showed good result (score 3.9), Junior High School teachers’ understanding of the authentic assessment showed considerable good result (score of 3.6), and Junior High School teachers in Bahasa Indonesia subjects, science and mathematics attitudes toward the implementation of curriculum 2013 showed good results. It can be seen from the average score of 3.8 with good categories on the questionnaire analysis. Most of teachers’ attitudes toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum indicated positive respond. On the other hand, factor of teacher readiness toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum still needs to be improved.Keywords: implementation of Curriculum 2013

Abstract

The team’s findings pengampu lecturer in learning suggests that students when given an assignment to create / modify props / lab science experience difficulties. Most students collect assignments product is not the work itself or the group, but the Internet search results. From the assessment results of the assignment, less than 30% of students who scored ≥ 75 so that if no immediate action is taken, the course learning objectives IPA Professional Development Teacher is not reached. Research purposes to improve the ability of students in developing appropriate technology fields Science Education. The study was conducted in a class action Prodi Science Education with the goal of student rombel 2, which amounted to 25 people. Results showed students have been able to create or modify props / lab science well, evidenced from the appraisal report containing a draft study visit product design with a range of scores obtained between 82 to 91 and from assessments of products that have made students more than 70% have earned a good category. The conclusions of this research is the ability of students in developing appropriate technology education can be improved through the implementation of study visit.

Abstract

The lack of material in teaching materials related to the environment around students is one of the causes of low environmental literacy. This results in low student knowledge of environmental issues and solutions to these problems. Problem-based learning is an alternative solution for students to practice analyzing problems using a socio-scientific issues approach. The research on the development of E-LKPD Ecology and Biodiversity by integrating the PBL-SSI learning model aims to enhance secondary students' environmental literacy. The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, using a pre-experimental design with a group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SMP N 3 Bawang in class VII using a small-scale test with 9 students and a large-scale test with 120 students. The results of this study were declared valid with high score criteria consisting of a material expert validity value of 0.93 and a media expert validity value of 0.94. This research is also very practical with a value of 98.48%, and very effective, with a value of 84.4%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the E-LKPD Ecology and Biodiversity can improve students' environmental literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using animated videos assisted by Wordwall in improving students' motivation and learning outcomes on the material of characteristics of living things. The type of research used is quantitative research with True Experimental Design type Pretest Posttest Control Design. The population in this study were grade III students of Gunungsugih 02 Elementary School as the experimental class and Ganggawang Elementary School as the control class with a total of 56 students. The instruments used included tests and questionnaires to measure learning motivation. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T tests. The results of the study showed that science learning using animated video media assisted by Wordwall had a positive effect on students' motivation and learning outcomes. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 73, while the control class was 42.96. In addition, the results of the post-questionnaire showed that the average motivation score of students in the experimental class (61.41) was higher than the control class (51). The T-test showed a significant difference between the pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire in the experimental class, with Tcount (2.30) greater than Ttable (2.03). This indicates that the use of animated video media assisted by Wordwall has a positive effect on increasing student motivation and learning outcomes in science material.

Abstract

Environmental awareness about waste plays a very important role in the sustainability of the next life. How environmental awareness from an early age can understand waste management can be done with fun learning and of course according to the current generation of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Canva AI application "code for me" in introducing children to care for the environment related to waste management. This research has benefits for educators and parents in the use of interactive media in learning to recognize waste. This study uses a qualitative approach to case study design. The subjects of this study are children aged 5-6 years with a total of 9 girls and 5 boys in the B1 kindergarten group which is in the Pertiwi 45 Kalisegoro Kindergarten institution. The research was conducted during 3 meetings in May 2025. The design of this research has model stages according to Miles, Huberman and Saldana with 4 stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion withdrawal and verification. Data collection techniques use observations, interviews and documentation. The observation results showed that 85.71% of children were in the "good" to "very good" category in understanding and classifying waste. In addition, most children also show positive behavior in disposing of garbage in its place. Educators are advised to continue to develop digital technology-based media, by using more detailed coding, especially in contextual environment-themed learning. This research contributes to supporting the integration of AI technology in early childhood education and becomes a reference for the development of environment-based contextual learning models. ABSTRAK  Kesadaran akan lingkungan tentang sampah sangat berperan penting dalam keberlansungan kehidupan selanjutnya. Bagaimana kesadaran lingkungan sejak dini bisa memahami pengelolaan sampah dapat di lakukan dengan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan tentunya sesuai generasi kecerdasan buatan saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini memberikan gambaran penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) di aplikasi canva AI “code for me” dalam mengenalkan anak untuk peduli lingkungan yang berkaitan dengan pengeloaan sampah. Penelitian ini memiliki manfaat untuk pendidik dan orang tua dalam penggunaan media interaktif dalam pembelajaran pengenalan tentang sampah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi kasus. Subyek penelitian ini merupakan anak usia 5-6 tahun dengan sejumlah 9 anak perempuan dan 5 anak laki-laki di kelompok TK B1 yang berada di satuan lembaga TK Pertiwi 45 Kalisegoro. Penelitian di lakukan selama 3 kali pertemuan di bulan Mei 2025. Desain penelitian ini memiliki tahapan model menurut Miles, Huberman dan saldana dengan 4 tahap yaitu: pengumpulan data, Reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan serta verifikasi kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan obervasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa 85,71% anak berada pada kategori “baik” hingga “sangat baik” dalam memahami dan mengelompokkan sampah. Selain itu, sebagian besar anak juga menunjukkan perilaku positif dalam membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Pendidik disarankan untuk terus mengembangkan media berbasis teknologi digital, dengan menggunakan coding yang lebih detail terutama dalam pembelajaran bertema lingkungan yang kontekstual. Penelitian ini Berkontribusi mendukung integrasi teknologi AI dalam pendidikan anak usia dini serta menjadi rujukan pengembangan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis lingkungan.
