Haryono No. 169 Malang e-mail: joacheemteddy@student.ub.ac.id Abstrak Dalam UUPA Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 sendiri dijelaskan bahwa bentuk hak-hak dan kewajiban dari anak harus bisa dipastikan untuk terpenuhi. Hal ini di dukung juga pada peraturan perundang-undangan lain yang membahas tentang hak anak seperti UU Ketenagakerjaan, dll. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji tentang efektifitas bentuk perlindungan hukum bagi anak jalanan di Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode empiris atau socio legal dengan pendekatan Sosiologi Hukum untuk mengungkapkan sebab atau latar belakang timbulnya ketimpangan antara tata tertib masyarakat yang dicita-citakan dengan keadaan masyarakat yang ada di dalam kenyataan. Kemudian menggunakan bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih belum efektifnya atau belum efisiennya bentuk perlindungan hukum bagi anak jalanan korban eksploitasi demi kepentingan ekonomi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh masih banyaknya permasalahan atau faktor penghambat yang terjadi di Kota Pekanbaru sendiri. Dalam penelitian ini pun penulis sudah menuliskan hal-hal apa saja yang harus diperbaiki agar dapat mencapai kata efektif atau efisien dalam penegakkan bentuk perlindungan hukum bagi anak jalanan korban eksploitasi demi kepentingan ekonomi itu sendiri. Kata Kunci: anak jalanan, efektifitas perlindungan hukum, eksploitasi ekonomi Abstract Child Protection Law Number 35 of 2014 asserts that the rights and responsibilities of children must be fulfilled, and this mandate is also supported by other regulations concerning children’s rights as in Law concerning Workforce and some others. This research was conducted to study the effectiveness of legal protection for street children with the help of the Sub-Regional Police Department of Pekanbaru. With empirical and socio-legal methods and a sociology-of-law approach, this research aims to reveal the causal factor of irrelevance between the expected public order and what happens in real life. With primary, secondary, and tertiary data, this research shows that the legal protection for street children as the victims of exploitation for economic interest is considered ineffective and inefficient because there are still some impeding factors in Pekanbaru City. In this research, the author highlights several matters that need to be improved for more effective and efficient implementation of legal protection for children as victims of exploitation for economic interest.
