Abstract

Covid 19 pandemic that has hit almost all over the world requires that the learning process at a Higher Education Institution be carried out online. The purpose of this study is to find out student responses to the online learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic, the second is how students respond to blended learning models that combine offline and online. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The researcher distributes questionnaires to students via Google forms related to learning during the Covid 19 pandemic and the blended learning model. The data that has been collected is then classified according to its type, analyse to explore the contents of the questionnaire, then concluded. From the results of the questionnaire, the researcher describes it to conclude. The results of the questionnaire show that students are starting to feel comfortable with online learning. The habit of online learning during the 2 years of the covid 19 pandemic provided valuable experience, finally they began to find comfort in online learning. As the learning process progresses through online media, students begin to find rhythm and comfort in online learning. Then the research data shows that more than 90% of respondents respond positively to learning with the blended learning model. In the blended learning model learning provides opportunities for students to adapt and develop soft skills in the field of technology. Some students also hope that 50% of the blended learning models will be used online and 50% offline. Based on the results of this research, blended learning is the choice of learning model after the pandemic.Keywords: Blended Learning, Covid 19, Higher Education

Abstract

Learning new information and abilities is the process of education. Learning English is a skill-based learning experience that necessitates a variety of ways and tactics. Technological innovations have had a significant impact on current education. Technology is the most recent solution to the issues of learning English. As English language learning methods improve, cake completes an innovative method of language learning on a mobile phone base. The goal of this study is to look into how Cake apps can help students improve their vocabulary at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. This study employs a pre-experimental research design with a pre-test. Five students will participate in this study. The research instruments were tests and questionnaires used to answer the study questions. How does the vocabulary of pupils change as a result of using Duolingo? The students' scores are raised as a result of the quanlitative data. The end product is anticipated to provide teachers and students with knowledge on having in-depth language learning practice in a convenient style.

Abstract

Lack of vocabulary is the main problem for Indonesian students who learn English. One of the things that makes learning English difficult is the lack of vocabulary. In order that, the technology development in this current era can be used as a way to improve students’ vocabulary. There are many software or applications on phones and laptops that provide learning English. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the “Bright-English for Beginners” application be able to increase students’ vocabulary or not. This type of research was included in the type of quantitative research with a group without treatment (control group) and a group with treatment (experimental group) which carry out a pre-test and post-test. Before giving the treatment, both groups were given a pre-test. After giving the treatment, which is an experimental group are taught by “Bright-English for Beginners” application and control group without it, the researcher gave a post-test. The results of this include 1) There is a relevant improvement for the group with treatment (experimental group) from the pre-test (before treatment) and post-test (after treatment), 2) There is a significant difference between students’ vocabulary utilizing “Bright-English for Beginners” application and without using it, 3) Vocabulary learning using the “Bright-English for Beginners” application has been proven to be more effective than using the usual method.
