Abstract

ABSTRAKPertumbuhan post larva udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pakan, salah satunya kadar protein. Kekurangan kadar protein dapat menghambat pertumbuhan. Sebaliknya, jika berlebihan dapat meningkatkan energi untuk katabolisme protein yang salah satu hasilnya berupa nitrogen yang akan dikeluarkan dalam bentuk amoniak melalui ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar protein pakan yang optimal terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak udang vaname umur PL8-PL21 di bak-bak percobaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 perulangan. Lima perlakuan tersebut, yaitu perlakuan A ; pakan komersial berkadar protein 25%, B ; pakan komersial berkadar protein 30%, C ; pakan komersial beradar protein 35%, D ; pakan komersial berkadar protein 40%, dan E ; pakan komersial berkadar protein 45%. Hewan ujinya berupa udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) umur PL8dengan berat rata-rata 0.0012 gr/ekor. Jumlah padat tebar 1 ekor/liter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan C menghasilkan pertumbuhan tertinggi dengan rata-rata 0.073 gr/ekor. Data kualitas air diperoleh suhu air berkisar 27,40-27,42oC, derajat keasaman 7,71-7,72 dan oksigen terlarut bekisar 6,18-6,19 ppm.Kata Kunci: kadar protein, pakan komersial, pertumbuhan berat mutlak, udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) umur PL8-PL21.ABSTRACTThe growth of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) postlarvae is significantly influenced by the quality of the feed, one of which is protein content. A deficiency in protein levels can inhibit growth. Conversely, if excessive can increase energy for protein catabolism, one of the results is in the form of nitrogen which will be excreted in the form of ammonia through the kidneys. This study aims to determine the optimal feed protein content for absolute weight growth of PL8-PL21 vannamei shrimp in experimental tub. This study used an experimental method with 5 treatments and 5 repetitions. The five treatments, namely treatment A ; commercial feed with 25% protein, B ; commercial feed with 30% protein, C ; commercial feed containing 35% protein, D ; commercial feed with 40% protein, and E ; commercial feed with 45% protein content. The test animals were vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) PL8 age with an average weight of 0.0012 g/head. Total stocking density of 1 head/litre. The results showed that treatment C produced the highest growth with an average of 0.073 g/head. Water quality data obtained water temperature ranged from 27.40-27.42oC, acidity degree 7.71-7.72, and dissolved oxygen ranged from 6.18-6.19 ppm.Key words: protein content, commercial feed, absolute weight growth, vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) PL8-PL21 age
