Abstract

This research was conducted to find out (1) what is the description of the income of traders in the Batangase Market before the existence of the Grand Mall and after the existence of the Grand Mall, (2) what is the impact of the Grand Mall on the level of income of traders in the Batangase Market, (3) what efforts have been made to minimize the impact the existence of the Grand Mall on the level of income of traders in Batangase Market. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show 1) the description of merchant income before the Grand Mall was very profitable because many visitors came, after the Grand Mall had an impact on merchant income, merchant income decreased. 2) the impact of the existence of the Grand Mall consists of positive and negative impacts, namely a) the positive impact is the development of an area in Maros Regency, as the largest and most comfortable shopping center, and as a vacation or recreation center b) the negative impact is a decrease in income traders, traffic jams and floods. 3) efforts made to minimize the impact of the existence of the Grand Mall on the income level of traders in Batangase Market, namely a) maintaining market cleanliness and security b) improving service quality c) completing market facilities d) building good relations between traders and buyers e) conducting promotions goods and discounts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the awareness of climbers towards the tourism environment of Mount Tambora. This study uses a qualitative research model with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The problems that are the focus of the research are: (1) What is the description of the environmental conditions of Mount Tambora climbing tourism? and (2) How is the awareness of Mount Tambora climbers in protecting the environment for Mount Tambora climbing tourism?. The results of the study show that the environmental conditions of Mount Tambora climbing tourism still require more serious attention from visitors. Climbers of Mount Tambora have a fairly high awareness of keeping the environment clean, but there are still a number of things that need to be improved, such as waste management and toilet management. The conclusion from this study is that climbers' awareness of the tourism environment of Mount Tambora still needs to be improved. In order to maintain the sustainability of the Mount Tambora tourism environment, it is necessary to collaborate between tour managers, climbers and the surrounding community to create a sustainable and sustainable tourism environment.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the capacity of the Palm Sugar Farmers Group in Umpungeng Village, Soppeng Regency, in product packaging and digital marketing. The main problems faced by the partner were limited market access, dependence on local traders, lack of packaging innovation, and limited skills in managing online stores. The program was implemented through partner coordination, needs identification, training on lontar basket packaging, digital marketing training, online store development practice, and mentoring in managing products on e-commerce platforms. The activity involved members of the farmers group, particularly lontar basket artisans and palm sugar producers. The results showed an improvement in the participants’ skills in producing more attractive, environmentally friendly, and locally based lontar basket packaging. In addition, participants were able to create online store accounts, upload product photos, write product descriptions, and understand digital promotion strategies through e-commerce platforms. The program also encouraged broader market access for palm sugar products, although challenges remained in terms of internet access and participants’ adaptation to new technology. Therefore, this program contributed to strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, improving local product competitiveness, and increasing the marketing independence of the farmers group.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the nature of student engagement in the Student Association of the Study Program, 2) identify factors that support and hinder student engagement in the Student Association of the Study Program, 3) describe the increase in students’ self-confidence through their engagement in the Student Association of the Study Program. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with HMPS executives, members, and former members as informants, and documentation of organizational activities. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and the drawing of conclusions and verification.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain: (1) how social studies teachers at SMPN 33 Makassar help students acquire moral values through character education; (2) the methods teachers employ to incorporate character education into Social Studies instruction at SMPN 33 Makassar; and (3) the elements that facilitate and hinder students' moral values development through Social Studies instruction at SMPN 33 Makassar. The study's findings show that: (1) teachers at SMPN 33 Makassar play a variety of roles in helping students develop moral values through character education; (2) teachers use contextual approaches, role modeling, and habituation to integrate character education into Social Studies learning; and (3) there are both supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of students' moral values through Social Studies learning at SMPN 33 Makassar. The supporting factors include a conducive school environment and meaningful learning, while the influence of mass media and technology. This study demonstrates that when character education is incorporated into the learning process in a planned and consistent way, social studies instruction plays a significant impact in helping students develop their moral beliefs.
