Abstract

Communication in education is a very important element and has a very large role. Effective communication in education is very necessary, communication can be considered effective and conducive when the communicant can receive and understand the contents of the message conveyed by the communicator. Communication strategies are very important to learn for Islamic boarding school administrators in order to achieve messages or learning motivation effectively. However, not all Islamic boarding school administrators can create good communication strategies, sometimes administrators even ignore the communication aspect where Islamic boarding school administrators only convey messages without thinking about how the message can be received well by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication strategies used by Islamic boarding school administrators to motivate students to learn Darussalam Blokagung 2 Setail Village, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency. And to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the communication strategy of Islamic boarding school administrators. The type of research used by the researcher is qualitative research. This research is classified into the type of field research. The approach that the researcher will use is a descriptive approach. To test the validity of the data, the researcher uses extended observation, increases persistence, and triangulation. All data that has been collected is analyzed using data collection analysis, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that effective communication strategies and providing positive feedback are the main keys to increasing students' learning motivation at the Darussalam Blokagung 2 Islamic Boarding School, Setail Village, Genteng District. These supporting factors create a positive learning environment, support the development of students, and motivate them to achieve higher achievements.

Abstract

In the digital era, hybrid events are an innovative solution in combining two elements, namely physical and virtual audiences. This research aims to analyze the role of MC in maximizing audience engagement through effective communication strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design at several hybrid events. Data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the MC has a very strategic role as the main key in an event. Challenges faced by MC include technical obstacles, involvement of both audiences, and sudden changes to the event schedule. The strategies used to create effective communication include inclusive communication, improvising, two-way interaction, appropriate time management, and the use of nonverbal communication which have proven effective in creating a more interactive and inclusive event atmosphere. This research provides practical guidance and enriches the literature. However, limitations in case coverage and research methods indicate the need for further studies with a more comprehensive approach for more representative results.

Abstract

This research discusses the communication strategies of preaching applied by the Santri Preaching Corps (KODASA) at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Blokagung Banyuwangi in conveying Islamic values to students and the community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study aims to identify the forms of KODASA's communication strategies, analyze the media and methods used, and evaluate the supporting and hindering factors in their implementation. The theoretical foundation used is the theory of preaching communication, particularly the persuasive communication model and the two-step flow communication model. Data collection techniques include field observations, in-depth interviews with KODASA members and supervisors of the boarding school, as well as documentation of preaching activities. The results of the study indicate that KODASA implements a communication strategy that is humanistic and contextual, using methods such as lectures, training, interactive discussions, and the utilization of YouTube media. The real impact of the strategies implemented by Kodasa is evident in the increased understanding and participation of students in religious activities. Supporting factors include is full support from the pesantren and the enthusiasm of the students, while the inhibiting factors are limited media facilities and a lack of enthusiasm from the community. This study emphasizes the importance of adaptive and collaborative communication strategies in strengthening pesantren-based preaching.
