Abstract

The efficient flow of goods and services serves as a keystone of economic development, essential for thriving market dynamics and total commercial efficiency. Far from being a mere conduit, transportation infrastructure takes on a foundational function, spurring industrial growth and having a significant impact on local economies. The crucial part that transportation networks play in advancing trade across sectors serves as evidence of the symbiotic relationship between transportation and economic development. The goal of the research is to determine how the development of the Jakarta - Cikampek toll road has affected the land use shifting from the agricultural to industrial sectors, which has a significant impact on Karawang regency's economic growth. Then create the mathematical model that enables information about the value of the agriculture sector's GDRP (Gross Domestic Regional Product) based on the influence of the value of the industrial sector's GDRP to be served.

Abstract

Efforts to develop existing infrastructure facilities are highly regarded in order to keep up with capacity demand and upgrade changes in data trends. To obtain the best users’ interest in the facilities that aligns management development plan and schedule, a questionnaire is commonly conducted. Datasets acquired from questionnaire featuring satisfactory level such as Likert scale tends to be ordinal. Ordinality using standard Pearson correlation lean towards weak relationship. Traditional PCA, relying on Pearson correlation, may struggle to capture the nuanced relationships within such ordinal data, leading to a loss of valuable information. Through a comparative analysis of PCA results using both covariance matrix and conventional Pearson correlation, this paper demonstrates the efficacy of the proposed methodology in uncovering latent patterns and relationships within the questionnaire responses.

Abstract

Traditional markets are characterized by direct retail transactions between sellers and buyers, operating on either a temporary or permanent basis with specific service levels. Perumnas Klender Market represents one of the prominent traditional markets in Jakarta. High levels of commercial activity during peak hours frequently result in significant vehicle accumulation within the market's parking facilities. Consequently, parking management has become a critical factor in maintaining the functionality of traditional market infrastructure. This research aims to evaluate the parking characteristics and performance for motorcycles and private vehicles. Primary data were collected through field surveys and analyzed using the parking characteristic formulations established by the Directorate General of Land Transportation’s technical guidelines. The findings indicate that the current parking area is insufficient to accommodate the volume of vehicles, primarily due to limited space and irregular parking behavior among visitors. Analytical results show a parking index exceeding 100%, signifying that vehicle demand surpasses the available capacity. By implementing the proposed alternatives, the parking index can be effectively reduced to a more sustainable level. Keywords: Traditional Market, Parking Performance, Parking Index, Parking Characteristics, Parking Accumulation
