<![CDATA[AbstractThe franchise system or cooperation in the field of franchising is a phenomenon that has been known for a long time in the business world. The purpose of research is to find out the importance of regulating the concept of franchise in Indonesian civil law. The type of research is normative juridical with a statutory approach, as well as related literature. The research specification is descriptive analytical and the data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that the development of the franchise concept is not only related to the brand alone, but contains various elements of the legal field that are interrelated both horizontally and vertically, so a new law is needed to be able to accommodate various developments that arise and can provide more comprehensive legal protection. and qualified, considering that there are various important aspects such as intellectual property rights, trademarks, copyrights to civil law itself.Keywords: franchise; civil law systemAbstrakSistem franchise atau kerja sama dalam bidang waralaba merupakan sebuah fenomena yang telah dikenal lama dalam bidang dunia bisnis. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui arti penting pengaturan konsep franchise dalam tata hukum perdata Indonesia. Jenis penelitian adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan, serta literatur terkait. Spesifikasi penelitian adalah deskriptif analitis dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis secara kualitatif.
