Abstract

Research has been conducted on the effect of Sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia L.) Leaf Infusion on Uric Acid Levels in Male Mice (Mus musculus) with the aim of researching the effect of Sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia L.) Leaf Infusion on reducing blood uric acid levels in white male mice that were treated with induced by caffeine. This study is an experimental study, by testing the decrease in uric acid levels using Allopurinol and Sidaguri Leaf Infusion (Sida Rhombifolia L.) with concentrations of 5g/BW, 10g/BW, 20g/BW in Male Mice (Mus Musculus) induced with 13 mg Caffeine. The results showed that Sidaguri Leaf Infusion (Sida rhombifolia L.) could reduce uric acid levels in the blood of male mice (Mus musculus) induced with caffeine, but the difference in doses of Sidaguri Leaf Infusion (Sida Rhombifolia L.) was not significantly affected.

Abstract

Self-medication or self-medication is part of the community's efforts to treat minor ailments by using over-the-counter drugs, limited over-the-counter drugs and mandatory pharmacy drugs without consulting a doctor first. Diarrhea is a mild disease that can be treated with self-medication. The method used in this research is descriptive method, namely research that covers surveys with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. This research was conducted in Risa Village, Woha District, Bima Regency. This research was conducted in March 2023 using a questionnaire on 140 respondents according to the criteria. The results of this study indicate that the community's behavior towards diarrhea drug self-medication in Risa Village, Woha District, Bima Regency is classified as good with a percentage level of 95.13%.
