Abstract

This study aims to determine how the results of Analysis of Os Clavicula Radiography Results on Projection of Anterior Posterior Axial and Projection of Serendipity View Shoulder. This research was conducted in Stikes Maluku Husada Radiology Laboratory on July until August 2023, that used observational descriptive by collecting data from respondents who filled question list which in this case used 10 respondents consisting of 5 radiologist and 5 radiographers and other data obtained from study of literature. According to research results, concluded that the results of radiography Os clavicula on Serendipity View Shoulder Projection is better than AP Axial projections based on the value of average obtained for the Serendipity View Shoulder is 3,375 and AP Axial is 2,725.

Abstract

Introduction: Chest radiography is a fundamental imaging modality used to detect abnormalities of the lungs and heart. The quality of the produced images is critical to ensuring diagnostic accuracy. However, several challenges—such as variations in examination techniques, patient positioning, exposure parameters, and equipment condition—can compromise radiographic quality. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing chest radiography quality and to evaluate the imaging standards applied at the Radiology Department of Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon Regional General Hospital.A mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses, was employed. Quantitative data were obtained from 100 chest radiograph samples, while qualitative insights were gathered through in-depth interviews with radiographers and radiologists. The quantitative analysis revealed that 65% of the radiographs were of good quality, 25% were adequate, and 10% required repetition. Qualitative findings indicated that limited routine training, aging equipment, and inconsistencies in radiographic techniques among practitioners were key factors contributing to reduced image quality.Based on these findings, practical recommendations were proposed to enhance operational standards and strengthen human resource competencies. The study provides a valuable basis for continuous quality improvement in radiology services, particularly in hospitals within Eastern Indonesia

Abstract

Optimal health services require supporting examinations in diagnosing a disease. On lumbosacral examination, radiograph quality is often less than optimal. Digital radiography is a new system on x-ray machines that has features for better image processing, one of which is flexible noise control (FNC). This study aims to determine the effect of digital radiography processing settings on image quality on lateral position lumbosacral examination. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method with an experimental or experimental research approach. The results showed that there was an effect of digital radiography processing settings on image quality with the FNC feature. This was shown by using the Image J application, there was a change in the standard deviation value before and after processing with the FNC feature. It is known that the FNC feature suppresses the noise value in the radiograph images.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease that can be fatal in a relatively short time. This disease is classified as "difficult to differentiate" from other dengue fever diseases. If without quick and appropriate treatment, the sufferer could fall into an even more fatal condition. And generally the supporting action taken is an X-ray examination of the chest to assess the presence of fluid in the pleura as a result of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito virus. The purpose of this research is to know the Comparison of Radiographic Results of Pleura Effusion on Right Lateral Decubitus Projection and LLD ( Left Lateral Decubitus ) in DHF ( Dengue Haemoragic Fever ) case. This research was conducted in RSU.Wisata Radiology installation of Universitas Indonesia Timur with quantitative research method with experimental design approach. Data collection is done by finding literature, observation, interview, and documentation. From the results of the research that the image of pleural effusion with RLD projection ( Right Lateral Decubitus ) shows better radiographic picture in assessing the level of pleural effusion with clinical DHF ( Dengue Haemoragic Fever ).

Abstract

Pneumonia is an acute infection or inflammation of the lung parenchyma caused by a microorganism infection. Community-acquired pneumonia is the most serious type of infection. This is consistent with the number of hospitalizations, which is followed by an increase in cases, serious complications, and is the leading cause of death among other infectious diseases. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Qualitative research is research that produces descriptive data, descriptions in the form of written or spoken words of the behavior of the people being observed. Case studies are included in descriptive analysis research, which is research conducted by focusing on a specific case to be observed and analyzed carefully and thoroughly. The results of this study show that the procedure for managing the thorax with clinical pneumonia at the Radiology Department of the Bhayangkara TK.III Ambon Hospital does not use a specific protocol. The projections used are AP (antero-posterior) and PA (postero-anterior), where the AP projection is used if the patient is uncooperative and the PA projection is used when the patient is cooperative.
