Abstract

This study aims to determine the causes and objectives of people who still believe and visit shamans as a shortcut to solving a problem, especially in Pesanggaran District. The discussion studied in this study is 1) What are the causes and objectives that underlie the community still believing in shamans as helpers in solving their problems?, 2) How does the Lintrik Card as a coaching media influence the behavior of people who still believe in Lintrik in solving their problems? From the results of the study, it was found that people who still believe in and visit shamans in Pesanggaran District are due to causal factors and objectives. The causes of people who still believe in and visit shamans in Pesanggaran District are due to the influence of the community's environment and culture, as well as the lack of instilling religious values and norms. Where the actions of these communities will have an influence on community behavior both in decision-making and daily actions. The research method used in this study uses cultural anthropology research. In general, researchers concluded that people who still believe in and visit lintrik shamans in Pesanggaran District do so based on the causes and goals that influence their actions. These actions, in turn, influence the behavior of those who use lintrik.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) explain how the implementation of picture cards in coaching to increase the learning motivation of SMK Safinatul Huda students in history learning (2) determine the effectiveness of using picture cards as a coaching medium in increasing the learning motivation of SMK Safinatul Huda students in history learning. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study research type. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique (purposeful sampling). Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and document studies. The results of this study are the stages in implementing picture cards as a coaching medium, which include the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Student motivation has increased after participating in coaching using picture cards, which is evidenced by changes in student attitudes who initially felt less enthusiastic, unfocused, rarely did assignments, and easily bored and tired are now more enthusiastic, more focused during learning, and more diligent in doing assignments. This shows that the use of picture cards as a coaching medium is effective in increasing the learning motivation of SMK Safinatul Huda students in history learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberagaman budaya masyarakat Desa Tamansari, Kecamatan Licin, Kabupaten Banyuwangi yang dihuni oleh masyarakat Osing, Jawa, dan Madura dengan dinamika kehidupan sosial multikultural yang berkembang dalam proses sejarah sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem nilai budaya, penggunaan bahasa, serta dinamika sosial masyarakat multikultural di Desa Tamansari. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode sejarah sosial. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat Desa Tamansari, sedangkan sampel penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi peneliti sebagai instrumen utama, pedoman observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat multikultural Desa Tamansari memiliki nilai budaya berupa toleransi, gotong royong, solidaritas sosial, dan kesetaraan antaretnis yang terbentuk melalui proses sejarah sosial masyarakat. Selain itu, penggunaan bahasa dalam interaksi sosial menjadi sarana penting dalam menjaga hubungan harmonis antarmasyarakat. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai budaya lokal tetap bertahan di tengah modernisasi dan perkembangan pariwisata melalui partisipasi masyarakat dalam aktivitas sosial dan budaya desa.

Abstract

The Weton tradition in Cantuk Village is a form of local wisdom that integrates into five aspects of life; however, its existence is threatened due to a decline in philosophical understanding among the younger generation in the digital era. This study aims to describe the philosophical meaning and implementation of Weton, as well as to analyze the process of its inheritance and adaptation in the Society 5.0 era. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved 45 informants across four hamlets selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed interactively using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. Max Weber’s Social Action theory and Cultural Adaptation theory were employed as analytical frameworks. The results show that Weton functions as a mechanism for risk management and life harmony. Although the inheritance process has shifted toward digital media, the validation of philosophical values still relies on the authority of elders through intergenerational dialogue. This phenomenon reflects the resilience and techno-cultural hybridity of the community in maintaining Weton as an adaptive identity.
