Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter yang dimiliki setiap tokoh pada novel yang berjudul Negeri 5 Menara karya A. Fuadi. Deskriptif-kualitatif ialah metode yang diaplikasikan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil riset menerangkan bahwa karakter yang dimiliki oleh para tokoh pada novel yang menjadi objek penelitian tersebut terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yakni karakter positif dan negatif. Karakter positif dimiliki oleh semua tokoh yang menjadi fokus pembicaraan, yakni Alif Fikri, Amak, Ayah, Raja Lubis, Baso Salahuddin, Atang Yunus, Dulmajid, dan Said Jufri. Adapun karakter negatif hanya ditunjukkan oleh tokoh Alif Fikri, Amak, Said Jufri, dan Baso Salahuddin,. Para tokoh yang menunjukkan karakter positif tercermin melalui perilaku optimis, peduli, disiplin, jujur, berjiwa besar, penyayang, bijaksana, dapat dipercaya, dermawan, setia kawan, rajin, humoris, dan kreatif. Adapun perwujudan karakter negatif tercermin melalui perilaku labil, ambisius, keras kepala, suka cari perhatian, dan penyendiri. This study aims to describe the characters possessed by each character in the novel entitled Negeri 5 Menara by A. Fuadi. Descriptive-qualitative is the method applied in this study. The results of the research explain that the characters possessed by the characters in the novel which are the object of the research are divided into two types, namely positive and negative characters. Positive characters are shared by all the figures who are the focus of the conversation, namely Alif Fikri, Amak, Ayah, Raja Lubis, Baso Salahuddin, Atang Yunus, Dulmajid, and Said Jufri. The negative characters are only shown by the figures Alif Fikri, Amak, Said Jufri, and Baso Salahuddin. The characters who show positive character are reflected in optimistic, caring, disciplined, honest, big-hearted, compassionate, wise, trustworthy, generous, loyal friends, diligent, humorous, and creative behaviors. The embodiment of negative character is reflected through unstable behavior, ambitious, stubborn, attention-seeking, and a loner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of student achievement in improving the quality of learning in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses the literature review method by analyzing various academic sources related to learning achievement management. The results showed that santri learning achievement is influenced by various factors, such as learning discipline, the role of homeroom teachers, activeness in learning, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Data obtained from MTs Anwarul Hasaniyyah Tabalong shows that the level of attention, activeness, and discipline of santri in learning is still relatively low, although there is an increase in enthusiasm for learning after participating in extracurricular activities. Student achievement management includes planning, monitoring, evaluating, and developing academic and non-academic in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes. With the implementation of more effective strategies, such as increasing study discipline and involvement in additional activities, santri achievement can continue to be improved.
