Abstract

The most important role of all existing customs such as the custom of moving houses, marriages, births, circumcision, hataman quran is inseparable from the figure of bissu from the Bugis tribe where they are the last defense of the custom of the Bugis tribe who can translate every detail of the customs that must be used in At every event, this bissu can also be said to be someone who has knowledge in dictating each series of events, this bissu is the embodiment of a man who becomes a female figure who is often called celebai, transgender and their types, but the level of this bissu has already existed during the work of Goa. the duty of a bissu was as a royal adviser who was highly respected at that time. In this study the method used was a literature review using a descriptive approach and the results of direct interviews with the research object consisting of 6 prospective bissu and 5 bissu who have been bissu for almost 30 years as well as empirical data that supports phenomena in the field. . The tradition of the Bugis tribe or what is usually called to ogi has a very long series, but the one who can know the sequence is a group that is sacred, namely bissu who knows the sequence of what the Bugis tribe must do in the event, why is it like that because from the era of the formation of the kingdom Goa Bissu is the work's right hand and he also knows the sequence of what is being done at work and can explain to the surrounding community what must be done while they are the Bugis tribe until now.

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas kisah dua malaikat, harut dan marut, yang disebut dalam surah al-baqarah ayat 102 sebagai makhluk ilahi yang diturunkan di babilonia untuk mengajarkan sihir kepada manusia sebagai bentuk ujian. melalui pendekatan literature review, studi ini menelusuri berbagai tafsir klasik dan pemikiran modern guna memahami makna teologis, moral, dan historis dari narasi tersebut. penelitian ini juga menyingkap keterkaitan antara sihir, kekuasaan, dan pencarian manusia terhadap pengetahuan transenden, baik dalam konteks tradisi islam maupun intertekstualitas dengan tradisi yahudi-kristen. temuan mengungkap bahwa pengajaran sihir oleh harut dan marut bukan bentuk penyimpangan malaikat, melainkan ujian yang menegaskan kehendak bebas manusia dan tanggung jawab moral atas ilmu yang dipelajarinya. pemahaman terhadap sihir dalam islam menyoroti batas antara ilmu yang bermanfaat dan yang menyesatkan, serta menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik manusia terhadap kekuatan gaib mencerminkan pencarian eksistensial yang melintasi zaman.

Abstract

This study examines how sacrificial animals (qurban) are managed from the viewpoints of humanitarian principles and Islamic teachings through a systematic review of existing literature. It draws on scholarly articles and field reports published from 2021 to 2025. In Islamic tradition, qurban is a key ritual that involves both spiritual devotion and social and ethical responsibility toward all living creatures. The concept of Ihsan—embodying excellence, compassion, and moral responsibility, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)—is central to this framework. In the context of qurban, Ihsan requires Muslims to handle animals humanely, carefully, and with minimal pain, aligning with modern animal welfare standards. Nonetheless, the literature review reveals a gap between ideal teachings and actual practice. Common issues include inadequate hygiene, rough or inappropriate handling, and limited awareness of the spiritual and ethical importance of qurban. These results underscore the necessity for stronger ethical internalization, better technical skills, and comprehensive educational strategies to improve both the humanitarian and spiritual aspects of qurban practices.
